Salah is a different player when Trent has his back.
The other night their link up play terrorised the Watford defence on that side.
Let's keep it that way.... which means NO MILNER on that side.

Unless his covering to help Trent get further forward ;)

Thanks mate.  ;D It's only coz half my mates are scousers and we take piss / banter out of each other  ;D Aussie Red takes banter really well, just as I do. However, some don't get me but that's just life. Understandable if they don't know me though.

      I'm winding you up ...

For me, I think Gini can do a better job at doing that.

Think with Milly playing whole games at LB and RB it makes sense to have him doing it, but I can understand the argument for Gini.

Only issues regarding selection should be whether Bobby is 100% fit (anything less and I'd go with Origi) and whether Milner is fresh enough for 3 games in a week (if not I'd prefer Keita over Hendo in that role). Rest of the team picks itself.

If we get an early one I see us easing home here but if we don't it's going to be a hell of a battle cos they'll be bang up for it.

Everton are as bad as I can remember for a long time but it is a derby game and they are ALWAYS unpredictable but I fancy us to beat them quite comfortably this time. If we play with the same energy as we did against Watford then they simply won't be able to cope with us.

Once again, don't care about the team that starts, we should turn these over quite easily it seems like.

Itā€™s a derby, we could be coming into this game with 10 wins in a row, and them 10 losses in a row, throw form out of the window, THIS IS EFC biggest game / home game of the season. They would absolutely love to win this game and possibly dethrone our title chances, for them taking 3 points away from us would be their  ā€œtrebleā€ . Everyone needs to play to there best, as they will come out of the gate hot and heavy. Itā€™s going to be another tough test for us again.

My only concern for this match is them being on search and destroy missions for knees and ankles. Hopefully the match referee will be on guard for that.

      Seriously?
This might have happened 20 years ago, but it's really not a thing these days.

You get the odd player who really dislikes another player, but that's about it.

All this talk of Everton throwing games, or going out to deliberately injure our players is pure nonsense.

.I didn't say a thing about throwing games, and I think tackling being more intense or reckless in a Derby match isn't so far-fetched, is it?

The tackle put on Origi by Moi, was that 20 years ago?

Perhaps I should have said I don't fear losing this match, just someone being injured

I see plenty of it from others though, and any suggestion of Everton players deliberately targeting and trying to injure our lads is pie in the sky as far as I'm concerned.
Same with the rather silly posts about them throwing games.

Bad tackles happen in football, and in fact they happen much less now than they used to even when players are pumped up.
      It's football, sh*t happens.

I'd be more concerned about the shithouse ref to be honest.

I donā€™t think EFC throws games, itā€™s just seems that they lie down and roll over to teams we need them to take points from. The worst one (for me lately) was the 2013/2014 year when they completely didnā€™t show up against Man City at Goodison, they were even still in contention for a CL spot that season too. We know what happened that season that I would really like to forget.

The fact is, they're not a good team, so their fluctuations in form are more noticeable if they are missing even one key player.
Plus they have a smaller squad in regards to the number of decent players in there, rather than fillers and young lads, so they are more prone to tiredness and burnout.
It's normal, nothing sinister about it.

Yup that Origi tackle was a deliberate attempt to injure him, just need to look at Funes Mori reaction post event playing the hard man to the Bitters in the stands.
