Pre-Match: Liverpool v Burnley Sunday 10th March 12:00 Kick Off
      Mar 04, 2019 10:33:20 pm
Little bit of a shake up needed:

      Alisson

      Alexander-Arnold
      Matip
      Van Dijk
      Robertson

      Henderson (c)
      Fabinho

      Salah
      Shaqiri
      Mane

      Firmino

      Subs:

      Mignolet
      Wijnaldum
      Keita
      Milner
      Lallana
      Origi
      Sturridge

Think we will win, want to see Shaqiri on the ball as much as possible, ans the same for Keita if he comes on 👍🏼

      2-0 to us ⚽️

what a rancid kick off time.......gonna be grim turning up being 4 points behind...early goal key to avoid the moans in the crowd, hopefully a similar atmosphere to watford...

Same team as normal except the midfield to be changed to Fabinho, Gini and Keita. That HAS to be our core midfield going forwards now as we have to be more positive and look to outscore opponents rather than this super defensive obsession that Klopp has gone into in several games. Its all very nice having a clean sheet but not if it reduces the chances we create to score.

I also want us to start using Origi and Keita as forwards more, I'd be happy for them to start a game, perhaps not at the same time, then bring on one of the others if we need it, that way we introduce some competition for places, get some rotation going plus have genuine options from the bench.

As for the game against Burnley, this has to be a 3 pointer, they are fairly average, especially away from home and if we get at them including through the middle then we can win by a good margin.

If Fabinho starts then we don’t need Hendo. At the start of the season I thought he should play further forward to accommodate Fab’s skill set unfortunately he just can’t do it as an 8.

So he should just deputise for Fabinho if he is out or being rested.

And we need at least one penetrative midfielder against these bus Parkers so either Milner but preferably Keita.

I'd be tempted to go 4231 for this one.

      Allison

      Trent    Matip    Van Dijk    Robertson

      Wjinaldum    Fabinho

      Shaqiri    Firmino    Mane

      Salah

We are at Anfield, we have nothing to fear and everything to play for.

I would line up as attacking as possible, can't see Burnley offering too much on the counter-attack.

                                                                          Allison

                                         Trent               Matip             Van Dijk              Robertson

                                                                           Fabinho
                                                           Shaqiri                        Keita

                                                     Mane                Salah               Bobby

I would try to shake things up again with our front three, having Mane attack from the right and give us some real width along with Trent out on the right-hand side and try to free up Salah through the middle. Bobby has proven he can be quite effective coming in from the left and with Naby playing just behind him I think we could see a lot of joy down the left hand side with Robbo on the overlap.

I like this, although I'd probably play Gini instead of Shaq just for better balance. We have to go more attacking, even if it means conceding a few goals.

Need more support  and goals from midfield although I am told from some posters that they aren't allowed to shoot as it's not their job  :lmao: :lmao:

Every chance we go into this 4 points behind, virtual guarantee I expect and we have nobody to blame but ourselves. So let’s put that right and get the gap back to 1.

Be a better idea to go back to 4231 for this, but maybe a slight change with who’s in the front 4.

      The defence picks itself.

                          Alisson

           Trent   Matip   Virgil   Robbo

                    Fabinho   Gini

           Salah        Keita        Mane

                          Bobby

If Bobby isn’t fit then I’d go Salah up top and Shaqiri out wide. Keita had been starting to really click but for some reason has been cast aside. He’s displayed how good he can pass and his dribbling ability so maybe him further up the pitch could unlock the defences more, something we’ve been finding hard.

But, in no uncertain terms, I don’t want to see Milner or Lallana anywhere near the pitch this week. Madness they got on in the Derby!

I'd rather go with Keita as AM, and then have Shaq as an impact sub for one of the forwards and/or Keita.

Need to be maybe a bit more attacking, make sure of all three points against a struggling Burnley side, on Sunday. Every game like a cup final now, until the end of the season.

Since the season is effectively over I'd try new things and rest players for the CL.

      Alisson
      TAA-Matip-VVD-Moreno
      Lallana-Hendo-Keita
      Shaq-Origi-Sturridge

I know many will think I am gone mentally, but MC is just plain better. Sometimes you gotta cut your losses early to be able to focus on the real important things. We need to make CL priority, we need to evaluate certain players to decide what to do in summer.

Moreno - give him playing time and see if he learned, physically he's better than Robbo, so let him prove it
Lallana - hard to tell if to keep him as a decent back-up
Keita - he and Ox could solve our midfield problems and prevent any summer transfers, IF he comes around that is
Origi - still is young and has potential, would keep him as back-up if he proves his value
Sturridge - still a guy to consider as a backup, he knows he won't play for any decent teams anymore, so he could be OK with such a role

And it's not as if this squad cannot beat Burnley comfortably at home, so I'll go for it!

Not over. Our season is CL now, PL should become a light approach which doesn't mean to hand it over to MC just to combine our pursuit with some evaluation and rotation, maybe that's even doing something good for us, maybe we get stronger by new fresh players, maybe MC gets too cocky because of our approach and falls. But of course Jürgen won't doing it, he doesn't have the PS4 mentality to do it. :P

Gini’s in desperate need of a rest and Bobby only just getting back to fitness. I would be surprised if we don’t rest players especially against Burnley.

Absolute must win this as City will probably be 4 clear by kick off.

Honestly, if anyone needs a rest then do it on Wednesday in the Champions League.

Feel confident about this game for a change. Have already boldly predicted a 4  0 score line for the Reds. It is time to be more attacking with games beginning to slowly run out, showing the true mettle of the team.

Burnley have just started to become their old selves again. Picking up points and being hard to beat.

The odious Ashley Barnes and his fellow striker Chris Wood have both scored in a good few games in a row. Hopefully the VVD presence puts an end to that run and we take our chances when they come at the other end.

I really hope Firmino can find his form if he comes into the starting XI. With Mos form looking fairly ominous for us at the moment there's a lot of pressure on Mane to win us games and his numbers alone won't do that for us.

In a team who's front 3 get the vast vast majority of its goals we cant afford to have 2 of them misfiring for any decent length of time.

Doesn't look like Palace had much difficulty in beating them last weekend, are you suggesting Palace have a better attack or defence than we do?

PL is imho the priority, but there's a wee game coming midweek too.
Be interesting to see who Jürgen plays vs Burnley, then who comes in vs Bayern.
Would think he'll make *some* changes [though he usually doesn't make many] - must be more likely that Shaq/Keita/Origi will start one of the two.
Bayern are experienced side, but no reason why we can't go there and get a result - just need to make sure we get the job done on Sunday. Would love to go through to the next round of the CL.
But if had to choose between a win against Burnley or Bayern - would say Burnley.

No but I'll suggest to you that Burnley will move their defensive line a further 10 yards back for this one.

Burnley were in the bottom 3 not so long ago, over the last 10 games they've got themselves out of trouble.

Unless we get a few early goals like we did against Watford this will be another fight. There's an away draw with United and a home win against Spurs in their recent results. They'll be up for this one too.

Jesus F***ing christ, there's nonsense talked by football fans and then there's this.

Pack it in Jürgen, there's no hope now we're a whole ONE point behind.

Exactly. If there was ever a time to rotate, it'd be against Burnley or Fulham, not the game that takes you into the CL's last 8.

Little need to rotate. We are coming off a full week of rest and after the 3 games ending 3/17 we are off until 3/31. Other than midfield where we can many options the rest of the players can go all 3 games if Klopp wants them to.

I'd be tempted to go 4231 for this one.

      Allison

      Trent    Matip    Van Dijk    Robertson

      Wjinaldum    Fabinho

      Shaqiri    Firmino    Mane

      Salah

This all day. Bring on Keita for Gini and Lallana for Shaq later on if thigns aren't working out. Bring on Milner for Shaq and Hendo for Mane to protect if we're handsomely in the lead in 2nd half.

      Must win game, simple as...

Assuming he's 100%, which I think there may be doubts about, then I'd play Shaqiri for this one at Anfield.  (Think Keita should get involved in Munich)

Pick one of Henderson or Fabinho but not both for fucks sake.

Bring on Keita for Gini and Lallana for Shaq later on if thigns aren't working out.

There is no set of circumstances where things aren't working out in which you need to bring on Adam Lallana any more IMO.  If things are going that bad I'd rather bring on another defender and stick van Dijk up front, and I'm not even joking.

      Burnley's first 19 games = 10 points.
      Burnley's last 10 games = 18 points.  (We've got 19 points from our last 10).

Yeah, we've rotated at key points in the season and everyone should be good to go the rest of the way. The only changes should be over form, role, duties, etc.

We are at Anfield, we have nothing to fear and everything to play for.

I would line up as attacking as possible, can't see Burnley offering too much on the counter-attack.

                                                                          Allison

                                         Trent               Matip             Van Dijk              Robertson

                                                                           Fabinho
                                                           Shaqiri                        Keita

                                                     Mane                Salah               Bobby

I would try to shake things up again with our front three, having Mane attack from the right and give us some real width along with Trent out on the right-hand side and try to free up Salah through the middle. Bobby has proven he can be quite effective coming in from the left and with Naby playing just behind him I think we could see a lot of joy down the left hand side with Robbo on the overlap.

      TAA-----VvD----Matip--Robbo
      ---Milner---Fabinho--Keita----
      Shaqiri-----Salah----Mane----

I would like what this trio in the middle could do as I would expect Klopp to player the trio we saw last weekend in the match in Munich. Think Shaqiri deserves another chance as attack hasn't been clicking and could be a good outlet to break Burnley down with some nice ball picking out Salah/Mane making runs behind.

Well I’m hopeing for a win and Three points to go one ahead myself.
I can hear Try Deany saying to his mates. Let’s not get shown up like we did last week at Anfield. Let’s get into these bas**rds and let them know they’re in a game.
Keep it tight, stay with the overlapping runners and fight like F**k to the finish !
      That’s enough for a draw methinks 😊

If we don't get 3points we won't be winning no pl. Can't see city slipping up anywhere and we need to win all our games even if they do. There even been awarded offside goals like today's in there win

This is about as must win as it gets now. With their GD a draw would mean we're relying on 2 slip ups from City.

I think we have to go 4-2-3-1 from here on out. You can certainly tinker with the formation during the game, especially when Kieta is playing, but being offensive from here on out is a must for me. A draw with this goal difference is basically a loss. I can see City slipping once in mid April when they’re schedule gets super congested. I don’t see them slipping twice

So you clearly think they’re unbeatable eh?
Check the league table stats you prat. And ok, so Watford didn’t do it today, but that’s not to say it will never happen.
So on to next week and hope for the same again.
City draw and we win 🤞🏻

Get the early goal lads, ease the nerves and then go on a scoring spree to narrow that GD.

Come on lads, rip into them from the OFF!

I can’t see us winning the league at all anymore. I’m a pessimist and city just look too good.

Hoping for a big win today though

I have faith that they will slip up as well. We are better when we are underdogs.

It was a few weeks ago and we fu**ed it !

The pressure told now it's a different pressure one I think we can handle one where we have to cut loose and chase them down.

I'd be tempted to go 4231 for this one.

      Allison

      Trent    Matip    Van Dijk    Robertson

      Wjinaldum    Fabinho

      Shaqiri    Firmino    Mane

      Salah

This is what I want the team to be

F**k all to do with pressure, everything to do with playing Manure then Bitters away, two very tricky away fixtures back to back. In between that we spanked Bournemouth and Watford's A-team as opposed to Citeh relying on a dodgy keeper error against Bournemouth and an offside goal against Watford's B team.

I see it differently but each to their own.

Both were there for the taking and we didn't play.

What was your take on Citeh dropping points to Newcastle then?

I just don't get this negativity surrounding our chances. Citeh have been playing quite poorly, by their standards, recently, we actually haven't, we've been maybe a bit to passive in a few games but on reflection perhaps a draw against Utd away wasn't so bad, I'm sure PSG would have taken a draw at home!

Bitters is bitters, always a horrible game and form book goes out the window but even there with a bit more luck we would have won.

Hopefully all fans can finally agree that we need 3 points today, and 1 point will just not do.

We need to raise our expectations again and stop being satisfied with poor performances and drawn games.

What do Keita and Shaqiri have to do to start a match. It’s especially baffling Keita doesn’t start.

Keita was one of the best players against Bournemouth, Bayern and West Ham. Now he can’t start against Burnley wtf
