I actually like this 4-3-3. Lallana was the one who created the West Ham goal and his bag of tricks hopefully work out today.

So looks like a Keita-Hendo-Milner midfield at Bayern!  ???

No it will be gini, fab and hendo

To be honest if Lallana has played himself into the team because of outstanding performances in training this week then good luck to him and well done to Klopp for rewarding him.

I just find it hard to believe that it's because of that and maybe not the fact his had a little falling out with the other two, so is trying to make a point. Obviously it's just a hunch and more so its directed towards Naby being dropped.

But if Lallana comes in, plays some lovely football and shows what his been showing in training, we cant complain, I see what he can bring to a midfield three of himself Fab and Gini but I haven't seen that Lallana for a long long time.

Why do some people feel the need to say this? Or as the supporters who pay to go and see the team play, support the team and desperate to see us be successful mean that we aren’t allowed to have an opinion on the line up?

Did I say people couldn't have opinions ? True supporters won't slag players off week in and week out though would they and back them up

Or last seasons tried and tested Hendo, Gini and Milner - honestly wouldn’t surprise me. If there’s one thing Klopp has been getting tight lately, it’s his line ups and subs.

Jürgen Klopp on Adam Lallana start v Burnley
      Chris Shaw@__ChrisShaw

Adam Lallana's 'exceptional' levels in training this week earned the Liverpool midfielder a start in the Premier League meeting with Burnley.

The No.20 comes into the XI, as does Roberto Firmino, as Jürgen Klopp makes just two changes from the goalless draw against Everton last weekend.

Asked for the thinking behind naming Lallana in his line-up, the manager told BT Sport: “We had a complete training week and actually that’s how it is.

“If you have five sessions a week, everybody can show up and Adam was exceptional during the week. So, in a situation where you think a little bit how you can adjust one or two things, it’s smart.

“He trained well for a while already but this week was especially well – that’s the reason why he starts.”

Hard to slag Lallana off week in week out when he hardly ever plays or even gets off the bench.

Lallana is definitely a weird one. Really wasn't expecting that.

Lallana looked quite sharp when he came on last weekend. Would like to see him get beyond Firmino and offer a few runs into the box today

Hopefully not that trio for a European away game! I believe the last victory they had was vs Porto away. Anyway, this discussion is for another thread :D

      crap lineup...Lallana wtf really.

It’s far from a crap lineup, it’s pretty much our strongest bar the selection of Lallana

I'm not being antagonistic just feel he has been singled out a bit unfairly a bit like Henderson does that's all

Bit odd that he his ahead of Keita though.

      Yep.

LFC Twitter reacting as expected to the line up. Tweets of how Keita should hand in transfer request etc. ;D

Weird how grown men react to a manager picking 11 players for a game.

Lallana must be performing in training and Keita can't be. Either that or it is an attitude issue with Keita. I say that because I can't think of any other reason why Lallana is in before him.

Nice to see the positive vibes going out to the team. If people think back or think at all Jürgen has always rated Lallana extremely highly and if he is fit and showing form in training its no surprise to see him play. Equally people crying out for more creativity from midfield and when Jürgen picks a more attacking midfielder he gets slagged off.
We also have a massive game against Bayern  in midweek so I wouldn't expect this team to start against them.

If Lallana is getting picked ahead of Keita then something somewhere along the line hasn't gone to plan. I must admit I thought the rush to praise Keita of late was a tad early and hopeful. He was better but still not the player we thought we were getting.

That said Lallanas inclusion doesn't inspire too much confidence. We pretty much know by now what performance we will get from him.

He does however represent a midfield that will show a little bit more attacking and the front 3 could really do with that of late I feel.
