      Do piss off, yeah?

Heaven forbid i thought a superb performance was worthy of a MOTM performance, especially surrounded by the dross we saw at times from those around him.

I understand it’s late in Oz get some sleep!

Hoping they draw City, that might just take some focus away from the title race with all the media hype that will accompany it

      Great point.

That's a good shout. Has Pep faced Barca in the CL since he left? that'd be another hyped up draw.

I'd rather any of the English sides than barca or juve. I be happy with spurs or united. Bet city get ajax.

Ajax aren't the weakest team left, Porto are so City will get them.

Into the last eight we go.  Again.

Let's face it, Liverpool as a footballing side is practically unrecognisable to the one that Klopp inherited.  Reaching the final, challenging for the title, back into the last 8, practically already qualified for next seasons competition.

Despite the oggy, thought Matip played well.  Great goal for Virg who we clearly missed a presence from in the first leg and Sadio Mane - when he's hot he IS HOT!

Fingers crossed we avoid an English team in the next round because it's just not as glamorous is it!

Swab will be crying into his sleep that Fab got back into the groove in that 2nd half  :D

Because Fabinho is 'technical' when you've got technical ability you can have a poor half but your technique always shines through.

I think he might have when he was at Bayern. I know his Bayern team ripped Barca a new one but I'm not sure if it was a friendly or in the CL.

I want us to get Barca, but thinking about it having read your post, it could be great for us in terms of the league if City get Barca. That could be what distracts them away from the title race and could lead to them slipping up.

Either would be very nice! City are all about wining the Champions League, much like PSG the owner is desperate to win it. But no doubt we'll draw the fookin skummy mancs and City will get Ajax or frickin Porto!

Amazing to be through. Tonight felt like one of those performance we put in regularly under Rafa when we turned over the likes of Madrid, Inter, Juve etc on a regular basis over 4-5 years. There was a level of control and level-headedness about our game that only comes when you've had a run like we did last season.

Fingers crossed we avoid an English team in the next round because it's just not as glamorous is it!

There were a few times, especially after that dire 2014-2015 season (possibly the worst season I've had to endure) where I questioned whether we'd return to that elite level of competitiveness. It felt like a given, something I'd take for granted under much of Rafa's tenure but after he left the ownership, players and manager just didn't seem to be working whatever the combination. And then Jürgen comes in and suddenly the ownership looks good and the players look fantastic. The much maligned transfer committee suddenly becomes a department of scouting geniuses with Michael Edwards suddenly a man in demand. The reality is Edwards and his scouts owe everything to Jürgen and the likes of Edwards would not be at the club today if it weren't for him.

And the thing is, he didn't have to choose to manage us. He could have had the choice of any club on the continent - he's that good. But that he chose us make me even more grateful for his presence in the dugout. The turnaround of this club in the three and a half years he's been here has just been phenomenal and I promised myself that I would never take European nights like this for granted again.

You can tell Jürgen is really up tonight and I want to see him back to fist pumping and celebrating F**k what others think. If anyone isn't absolutely buzzing now and looking forward to Sunday game then they need to check if they have a pulse this is going to be a fantastic couple of months
