Confidence should be sky high for our players and fans (well... most :f_doh:) going into this one. I would be surprised if we don't see some rotation in this game, I'd definitely be thinking of bringing Lallana and/or Shaqiri into the teamsheet if I were Klopp. A chance to go top of the league for 2 weeks before City face Fulham.

Mitrovic is their main threat of course but no one can compete with Virg and Joel the way they are playing at the moment so I'm not even concerned in the slightest. Relegation teams typically play with more freedom when they are down, out and have nothing left to fight for so that's something to watch out for but I can't see any other result than a convincing victory to the men in Red. :scarf:

Time to rotate. Give Moreno some competitive football since he will be needed in CL soon.

In one thread you are moaning we won’t win anything with the midfield we have, then in another thread you are saying drop half over half of the team, including changing our entire attack.

No doubt if we done that line up and lost you’d be one of the first to complain about the side and how we won’t win anything by not playing our best team.

I’m sorry but you really are a complete and utter idiot aren’t you. Actually no, I’m not sorry.

I marked the part you should focus. It makes total sense to rotate, and heavily. We play Fulham, not a top side, so our weak midfield doesn't count. We have a weak midfield in comparison to the best football clubs in Europe, not in absolute terms. If my team selection can't beat Fulham we don't deserve the title anyway. We need frehs legs in the last two months, we need fresh legs for Tottenham, Chelsea and CL.

The part you have highlighted of my post doesn’t even make sense to what you’ve posted!!!

You are so full of sh*t, you can’t pick and choose what counts and what doesn’t against who we play and you can’t pick and choose what sides we have a weak midfield against in relation to who we play in what competition and winning things just to suit your own warped little narrative.

As for fresh legs, we don’t play for 2 weeks after the Fulham game and have had a couple of breaks since the Wolves defeat...hardly pressed with a hectic schedule are we?!

I would NOT heavily rotate for this, this is a perfect opportunity for us to reduce the goal difference a bit, so I want to see full throttle football, anything less than 3-0 to us and I'll be a bit disappointed.

Screw rotation! Arent we having a 2 week break after this weekend?? Play the strongest and get that goal difference up. I guess we'll field a 4-2-3-1 with Mo up top and either of Shaq/Lallana starting.

      Salah
      Mane-Bobby-Shaq/Adam
      Fab-Gini
      Robbo-Virg-Matip-TAA
      Alisson

Subs: Mig, Lovren, Milner, Hendo/Keita?, Adam/Shaq, Origi, Sturridge

It's more about Moreno gettin' some football. The guy will probably play for us in the CL since Robbo is suspended for the 1st leg. I'd give Moreno some football to get into it again, the guy hasn't played competitive football for months, literally. At least that would be my line of thinking if I was a coach.

Gini could do with a rest but not sure we’ve got the numbers to do it with Keita and Hendo having knocks.

Alisson; TAA, Matip, VVD, Robbo; Fabinho, Gini, Lallana; Salah, Firmino, Mane.

If you think we should rotate heavily at this stage in the season with everything to play for you have a lot to learn.

Every game is a cup final now. Full strength all the way. No more Sturridge, no Moreno, no unproven midfield or forward lines. Strong, proven lineups only.

You're not very bright, and that's ok, but please learn from this. Baffling post, really was.

Lallana will probably come back in. Maybe Origi on the wing, push Mane in the middle, and keep Bob in reserve.
Don't think Jürgen will change much, but would expect one or two changes from the side that played most of the game vs Munich.
Need the win, nothing less - but that win against Munich should be a massive confidence boost.

Agree. Robertson plays for me as does pretty much everyone else you would count as first choice.

I'd be inclined to go with Milner and Lallana in midfield with Fabinho or Gini.

I hope we are not lethargic after weds. We cannot afford to drop anymore points if we want to give ourselves a chance. Can't see city dropping many if any. Must be on it from the start. What a week it would be if we can be back on top going into the break. Wouldn't underesti.mate anyone as Fulham are fighting for there life and have had a full week to prepare and at home but we should be winning this. I'd be happy with a 1-0.

      You're just a ray of F***ing sunshine aren't you.

I'd take 1-0 every single day of the week.

Although I think we'll smash them. Fulham can't defend. I can see a Salah hattrick coming a mile off.

Not a bad idea to give Shaqiri a game. He needs to be up to speed should we get any injuries in the run in. Can’t believe I’m saying this, but Lallana could do ok against Fulham if he’s still on the same form he was last week. Hero injured so Hendo dm will cover for any Shaqiri lack of defensive duties, and Lallana does plenty in that respect.
Should be a tough win, they will battle like F**k. Going for 4:0

I just can’t see Shaqiri getting back in the team. He’s been non existent every time he’s come on for months. No time for that unfortunately.

Lallana way ahead of him now.

The lads have had scouple of extended breaks not so long ago having gone out of the cups early and whilst we didn’t we didn’t really see the benefit in the subsequent games we could see it now. Be very very surprised if we see whole scale rotation at the weekend. A couple of players tops, Lallana and Origi maybe, Studge and Moreno? Fook that and bloody stupid if it happens.

Outside chance it might be a case of after the lord mayor's show type thingy. Klopp will be aware of this and might play Lallana just to pep it up a bit. Adam was unlucky not to keep his place after Burnley, so I think Klopp might give him a start and his energy will help keep us on blob.

Agree. Robertson plays for me as does pretty much everyone else you would count as first choice.

I'd be inclined to go with Milner and Lallana in midfield with Fabinho or Gini.

Wouldn't mind Lallana or Origi against Fulham.

Not sure if Keita is available but, if so, I'd start him. Midfield put in plenty of work against Bayern, so fresh legs make sense. Lallana is bound to start for the same reason, plus he played well last week. Rest of the team same as usual.

Sterling will dive like superman and aguero will score his customary offside goal when they play Fulham even if there 1-0down in i jury time. The officials will turn a blind eye. For tomorrow I think lallana deserves a start and don't care how we win a long as we do. Citys luck surely must run out soon.

spot on this game is as important as any we have coming up and goal difference could still come into play.

No Jürgen is holding him back cos he's above world class, and was just waiting for Robbo to either pick up a injury or a suspension , and now that he has he's gonna release Bertie to the world...can't f***in wait for that !.......

........Moreno's fate is already sealed, he's being put into a Time capsule to remind us all how sh*te he is.....perhaps you'd like to join him....for obvious reasons?

Contract is up in the summer so his departure is looking well and truly sealed.

And yes he is that bad. A shocker of a player and fingers crossed we won’t see him wearing the shirt again, at least not on the pitch

Whilst I agree you don’t rotate for the sake of it this notion that everyone plays because they then have a two week break is a bit out. Brazil play twice, as do England. Egypt are in Nigeria. Holland play Germany. Senegal are in action. When you’ve got the top players in your squad there’s no rest.
We get the game won, then use the bench. Then start praying everyone comes back injury free

Hope we all have our positive heads on today this is a game we are going to win and go Top of the League. I think the lads are going to be absolutely at it today and having seen City flounder and spawn a win in the FA Cup with a dodgy pen and an offside goal we know they will crack soon enough.

Fancy Mo to come back from London with a couple of goals today along with Sadio and Bobby.

      Absolute rubbish.

Why rest players for internationals? Full strength team out today. We cant control what happens with internationals.

But if we have a break after this its a full team today. Would be a full team anyway. 8 games left ... we cant afford any mistakes now
