I am getting sick of this, right now with only 8 games to go all that matters is we get the wins, why you bitching about performances? If we played really really good but lost at this stage what good is that?

Been that way all season mate. People expect us to batter teams out of sight and if we don’t it isn’t good enough.

And yet despite their apparent wisdom, here we are top of the league in March and in the QF of the Champions League.

But apparently they know better and it will all come crashing down (which they are dying for so they can say ‘I told you so’).

Massive win today, which was all we needed coming off the back of a European game. For others that’s the mark of champions, but for us it shows we’re frauds it seems reading some posts.

Our two best players who have saved us so many points this season, combining to possibly lose us the title, by handing it to an ex Liverpool player who scored against us.

Let's just say I'm glad things never turned out that way.

Man City have enjoyed some scrappy 1-0's of late.

Babel scoring there you need the players had to get their heads up and make something happen and they did.

Doesn't matter how you win.  Great result.

Just emphasised our authority, Fulham posed little threat they were gifted their goal by a rare defensive misunderstanding.

Serious … he went over very theatrically. Definitely contact, not sure if it was enough to warrant the theatrical fall.

If he didn’t fall like that we wouldn’t have got the penalty, 90% of penalties given are thanks to theatrical falls.

It was definitely a penalty, keeper grabbed Mané to stop him getting the ball. Not sure how you can see it differently.

Woofftt! Thought that was our title hopes down the pan there.

I didn't think we played badly in that 2nd half to be honest. Just wasteful in the final 3rd, Mo in particular. And then one mix up and we nearly blew it. Alisson was poor for their goal. It wasn't a good header from Virgil, but it was still there to be claimed by the goalie, and instead of throwing himself on it and maybe taking a kick from Babel, he held off and tried to block the shot instead. Not good. He's been very good for us overall since he signed but I think Jürgen will have a word about that one.

But yeah, between the 2 penalty areas I thought our performance was good in the 2nd half. We passed it well, pressured well and created plenty of dangerous situations, just couldn't kill it off. Mo could really do with a goal. If only to get him to stop trying for one when there's better options all round him.

Would have been very harsh not to win that game. And we're still in the race.

[Can't believe any doubts about the penalty. Stonewaller. Gave Sadio MOTM.]

      One word PHEW!

A really weird game, totally in control but very sloppy, Salah needs to stop being so selfish.
Fulham better than I expected though, hopefully Babel can play even better against Citeh.
You’re quite right mate We where in control but sloppy and wasteful in equal measure,a second goal would have knocked the fight out of them I recon but they scored from an awful mix up with the big man and Alison
But I’m not gona slate them today as they’ve been minge bags this season.

Maybe … I strongly suspect that if that had happened at the other end and one of their players had fallen in that way, we'd all be livid with the player and the ref.

So relieved to get 3points.so poor today but got the result. Allison hasn't impressed me lately dosent like using his hands and fucks about with ball at his feet. Let a poor goal in against Burnley too. Salah low on confidence but main thing is 3points. City were lucky yesterday too.

Maybe some will say VAR will overturn the penalty..that Mane made the most of it. But the point is..it was a foul...as was the Fab challenge that got him booked. The Fulham lad did delayed roll overs to get Fab booked..but it was still a foul.

Same thing with Mane..he was fouled..the fall was a bit theatrical...but he was still fouled.

I wonder why Allison went with his feet instead of grabbing the back pass? Just a brainfart all round I hope as I don't think Allison is the kind of keeper to avoid a challenge.

That was agony. We needed a wake up call in that 2nd half. 1-0 isn’t enough against anyone cos insane goals like that can happen.

We need to start killing teams off.

I tend to agree with Tim Cahill. From where the referee was positioned, it was a definite penalty. Any ref in the world would give it as a penalty - from that view. But when you see it from the other angle, Sergio Rico has basically given Mane a belly rub. :D

Still, don't give the referee a decision to make.

Don’t think Milner done a thing right for most the time he was on and had the worst possible start to his game, but he stepped up when it mattered most and saved the day.

I wondered why Salah didn’t take it but in hindsight, I think he’d have missed going by how things are running for him at the moment.

Complacency nearly cost us and I think I experienced several near heart attacks in that game but GET IN!!!!!

Got lucky today. Very lucky. Having gifted a goal to Fulham, they very kindly returned the favour. Most teams won't be that generous, so we have to find our goal scoring form again and finish teams off.

Still not good enough. We must be 5-0 up before every kickoff. We must win in style! :f_steam:

We're rubbish without Hollywood balls, overhead kicks, perfect hat tricks. We're expected to be the Harlem Globetrotters.

Mo hits the bar, mane follows up with a header onto the bar, bounces back to Ox outside the area, Ox shoots a belter from erm... "downtown"? For a... three? :lmao:
