Missed the game caught the replay this morning. What a win. Almost all other seasons we lose or draw that away to a scrappy side fighting for survival.

VVD has brought such a calming influence to the team that when the pressure is on we no longer look like collapsing at the back. This gives our midfield and forwards the confidence that if they persist in attack we will find a winner without worrying if we will concede another.

It's nice to think going in to a game we no longer have to score 5 to ensure a win as we have becoming a far more composed and controlling side.

Bring on those final 5 games!

Hope you remember that and have no complains when you are on the receiving end of that ridicule

I don't think my opinions need to be respected, I'm not that precious. You seem to come across like your opinions should be respected though and, at times, they deserve the ridicule you're given.

Plus, if we take your logic to the extreme, shouldn't you just be respecting my opinion and moving on?

Pretty sure I already covered that. I'd also probably try and defend my opinion rather than moan and whine about my opinion not being respected.

O.K... If you do not like things I have said in the past, then don't read my posts

Put like that makes more sense. And by the way I do not have problems with what you post, don't always agree, but that's a Forum for you it's all about opinions and people will always disagree.

      All good here.

Not even in the mood to look through all tonight's posts because I expect to see some moaning.

But ay, we're well involved in a title race against what is quite frankly an amazing squad, with a top drawer manager who's had top drawer wedge to spend. On f**king tap by the way!

Honestly, if you can't get on board with this sh*t then we can never be mates. I've longed for these moments for many a year.

F***ing mighty we are. Hanging around like a bad smell.

Red, mighty. THE MIGHTY F***ing REDS.

      Get in!

      That gin, ay.

In all honesty, i haven't praised Hendo for as long as i can remember but in this game, i saw a very different hendo, one who is the driving force behind this win. For that, i have voted him the motm. I would think hendo can do much more than what we have seen and could it be klopp is the one holding back hendo?

Dunno about you lot, Friday night footy isn’t my favourite time to play.
Great win and all that, but somehow it makes the weekend really anti climax 😳 hope we can play our remaining games at 3:00 on Saturdays.

It was simply that he was the best option for the deepest midfielder.
      Now we have other options.

These boys are finding ways to gut out wins that in the past they wouldn’t have won. It means our manager is having an effect and it means that these same players that struggled to hit the next gear in years past, are upping their game. Things look good for years to come now. We will beat City to the title this year, but even if we somehow don’t, progress is evident and it’s not a surprise anymore that we are pushing the money launderers.

      Quote from Ribapuru
I think we can win all our remaining games, but so can City, so it will be close.

After City got their ghost goal against Watford, you told us it was a one horse race that we can't compete in, never mind be close.

      Quote from 5timesacharm
So admit it. Who was screaming "PASS!!!" before Salah scored? :D

The entire fanbase probably. He had a similar counter last week with the score 1-0, and lost possession. But he was right this time, I don't think Firmino would have got the pass in time.

      Quote from redkop63
What's there to complain with that scoreline and the efforts put in with a tough opponent performing as if they are in a cup final game. Oh wait, there's one here, is the ref blind or something. Who's that muppet ref?

The same ref who gave City the aforementioned ghost goal, that led Rib to call the title race for City there and then. We have VAR against Porto of course, so if any of our players are hacked down in the box, we will get a penalty. Guaranteed.

48 points from 48 against the bottom 8 this season. So far.

Job done, panic over. The subs worked again, and turned the game in our favour. About time Hendo showed the leadership qualities and taking the initiative that a captain should, and it got him his goal. Salah got his first yellow card of the season, for falling foul of the law that was originally brought in, so Muslims would not be offended by a player doing it.

Hazard and Higuain are next to stand in our way, on Anniversary Weekend. Surely, the emotion of it alone is enough motivation to drive us over the line.

It’s not guaranteed at all, VAR showed at the weekend it still can’t get things right.
