From an attacking perspective, I am more of a fan of his attacking play than Robertson where he is more prone to making runs behind the defence/full back (similar to Alba), but his end product is no where near good enough. I also think he has good energy levels and will get up and down the pitch as good as and probably quicker than Robertson.

Anyway, I too can't see him starting and will most likely be Milner at left back, but then again, Klopp has surprised us a few times this season!

Seem to be implying Moreno is a better attacking wing back than Robbo. Can't agree with that although Moreno can get up in support but Robbo is the best raiding full back we've had for a long time.Consistently on the shortlist for MOTM. And doesn't dive in or panic in the box when we are defending like Moreno.Fair do's Moreno hasn't played under VVD's calming influence but there's a reason why Klopp prefer's Robbo..

I agree with you nearly all the time - but how you prefer Moreno’s attacking play over Robertson is truly baffling

Attacking style is probably the better term.

I find Robertson more similar to you Filipe Luis/Lucas Hernandez than your Alba/Marcelo, if you get me?

For the last two games we haven't had a grip on the game and have relied on late late frantic attacks to get the result. The high pressing game, high energy needs to return and slicker, quicker passing. More movement up front, bit more urgency all round.

Now that Salah has hit the 50 I'd like him to relax a bit more, mentally. He's cracked that milestone, time to recapture the form (did he ever lose it) of last season.

Gini carrying a knock, expect him to be on the bench.

      Milner at LB for sure.

Unless Klopp threw a curveball and threw Lovren in the mix somehow. ;D

Lallana is out too, carrying some sort of injury.

So all in all, looks like Hendo, Fab & Naby in the middle.

We're going to need a better result than we managed against them last season.  At home.

Feels a bit strange that a Champions League Quarter Final has just popped up and not been our main focus.

Heard about some of the players having various knocks from the game v Southampton but didn't hear anything mentioned about Oxlade-Chamberlain?  Any chance of a sub appearance or something like that?

Lallana always seems to be carrying a knock, which is why despite his style of play fitting us so well i want him to move on and get a more reliable replacement.

Last I heard, Klopp said he needs more time, and that he wasn't going to rush anything, but that was a couple of weeks ago.

Klopp has said today everyone is fine barring Adam, Joe needs another two weeks with the squad training , never mentioned the Ox but did say there no other problems.

I'd imagine Ox is probably slightly behind Joe in terms of getting back to the action after his setback in the U23s game. I'd think both of them will need a lot more training sessions before being in contention of any minutes.

Remember Harry Kewel he was always injured unless it was a final or a big game. We need to put this almost out of reach tomorrow night and I don't expect it to be an easy walkover game we will need to be at our best and take our chances.

Heard Klopp speaking the other day he said it wasn’t really a setback ,more of a reaction due to the time out he said he was fine and nothing to worry about , never mentioned him today which is a good thing I think .I always thought if we saw Joe before season’s end it would be a bonus ,

Even then Kewell would go off injured.

Feel confident about this game, going for a 3  0 win for the Reds. Nice to see Mo Salah scoring again, should give him a boost.

I'd like a midfield three of Fabinho, Hendo and Keita, In defence Milner takes over from Robbo, please no Moreno, and then its a question of how ready Joe is. I like Matip but he's become a bit skittish again recently and making me nervous or perhaps he just had a poor game against Southampton.

That would be my team as well. Fully agree on Matip but I think Gomez will likely see some time off the bench at RB before he is thrown back in at CB. If he can stay fit he will be a massive lift for the run in.

This lot will be absolutely gunning for revenge, we have not been defending so well recently and I've got a feeling well concede. I'm going for a 3-1 win.

Well we'd prefer to put it out of reach, but we don't really need to, Bayern Munich serving as an example.

Clean sheet more important to me than a goal, but both would be just fine.

Think the XI pretty much picks itself. We could switch between 4-3-3 and 3-4-3 throughout the game, if the idea is to keep Milly further forward than defend.

      Mane-Bobby-Mo
      Keita-Fab-Hendo
      Milly-Virgil-Matip-Trent
      Alisson

Subs: Migs, Moreno, Lovren, Gomez?, Gini, Shaq, Origi

Might be jumping ahead here but hopefully we finish the job soon enough cos just a tad concerned on the front-3 and midfield's workload. Chelsea fielded Hazard-Higuain-CHO; RLC-Jorginho-Kante yesterday, so will likely play Pedro-Giroud-Willian and a much changed midfield & defence in their Europa game, with 1 eye on getting something at Anfield. Hopefully we have enough in our tank to disrupt their passing game.

      IMO, most important week this!

Alisson; Trent, Matip, VVD, Milner; Fabinho, Hendo, Keita; Salah, Firmino, Mane.

Gini needs a rest and we'll need him against Chelsea.

      Yeah, this.

Would've been my midfield against Saints, too. At some point Gini's matchload and/or form will need him to sit.

Fab is our best midfielder, while Hendo and Keita have momentum after scoring.

No idea what to expect tbh. Which makes it more exciting.

Milner LB,  midfield of Fab, Hendo and Naby

Would like us to blow them out of the tie by HT - buts suspect Klopp will continue to go for the slowly-slowly style
