And how many times has that led to goals so far this season with Keita?

I don't know, but It has lead to the defense being put under unnecessary pressure which can always lead to a goal, so why risk it when we know Chelsea is capable of taking thier chances and scoring goals...?

Arse starting to twitch like a rabbits nose.

Gonna be a long wait to 4.30.

Hopefully I'll be grinning from ear to ear from 2.05 onwards though.

      Lets go the Red Men.

Sturridge would have played and scored goals if only Klopp gave him that chance.

But that's the past now. All we can do is remember his quality such as the incredible equaliser he scored against these boys last time. Hopefully we won't need him to bail us out again today.

I so well remember playing Chelsea in the 1965 F.A.Cup semi final, the Chelsea manager at the time was Tommy Docherty. He said that if Liverpool beat Chelsea it would be the miracle of the century,as you all know a miracle happened and we went on to win the cup for the first time.We can beat Chelsea without the help of a miracle and win that bloody E.P.L. for the first time-go the MIGHTY REDS and make us proud. :kop5cf8koxp6:

Doesn’t get any bigger than this. Biggest game of our season and our title challenge right here. Anything less than a win probably kills our title chances. Can’t be passive today, high intensity, high press, don’t give Jorginho a second on the ball and kick the shi...te our of Hazard.

Plus we've got unfinished business from 2014 to decide here.

Come the F**k on you Redmen!!!!!!

Think you miss the point I was making... That they both have a similar record albeit long has about 73 more games and scored
25 less goals but in teams where he has not been surrounded by great players like Sturridge at City, Chelsea and Liverpool where he has not had the likes of Suarez,Sterling, and Coutinho to feed him (21 for those goals coming in the 2013/14 season)
      and both with 21 assists

Shane Long goals has put us out of the the League Cup For Southampton (01/25/17) The third round of the FA Cup at Anfield (01/13/10) in Extra time  for Reading and he scored against us in a 4-3 win by us in 2006 over Reading,in the 1-3 game vs Southampton 05/04/19

I was not talking him up...merely pointing out as in my original post

In fairness I think that Long is a very underrated player

Dan' his legs have gone, and to injury prone, although he still has a spectacular goal somewhere in him we are having to wait longer and longer before he can come up with one, and even Origi and Shaqiri are a head of him in the pecking order for that very reason... Should have sold him three seasons ago...No longer the same player he use to be

Well I fired up Fifa for the first time in a while and played tomorrow’s fixture, winning by that exact score line. That’s got to mean something. Salah, Firmino and a Henderson double. Put a £10 on it.

No fella, it doesn't mean sh*t,  its a electronic game, do ppl really believe that playing 'Fifa' will influence Real life football, F**k me, we really do live in a fu**ed up world!!

I am going for the technique of completely ignoring the City game and just checking the score after their match ends. Anfield is now the place it needs to be and Chelsea will know they are in a game today I fully expect our boys to be chomping at the bit waiting to get at them.

I seriously believe we won't see Sturridge playing in our shirt again, there's no room for sentiment in football,  Jürgen sees Origi as a better option and followed probably by either Shaq or Lallana,  even if he's on the bench its unlikely he'll be given sufficient time to make a difference,  might be wrong but last time he featured was for less than 5 mins,

We will all remember his fantastic goals for us but for me hes done.

      Thanks for the memories Daniel.

What the F**k is this talk about Shane Long? Might play alright against us but his goal scoring record is a shambles.

Crap for this level and nothing more than an option for Southampton.

      Back to this game...!

Walton, totally agree. I will have a sneaky look at half time for the score down there in London village. But I’m focused on 16.30, lunch with the missus in a local with a couple of pints then home in front of the fire to watch the game.

I'm nervous about this game. Chelsea are a bogey team but think our greater will to win will see us home 2-1 and need to be as fancy city to beat palace 3-0. Somehow for all the games there playing there at full strength and palace have both there first choice cbs out injured. I think if a team guna stop city it be spurs next weekend can't see anyone else do it. United were awful yesterday. Anyway three points reds and we march on. Probably our trickiest fixture left

After looking at the remaining fixtures for about the hundredth time this is the fixture that has the potential pain in the arse. Palace won’t be easy for City, wouldn’t it be ironic if Woy pulls one of for us. Anyway focused for this!. The wife says I’m acting strange ha ha!. I wonder why.

We have an awful record against Chelsea - especially at home.

      Time to change the trend.

Feeling surprisingly relaxed this morning. Excited to see the match on a brief recorded delay, but confident in this team. I'm paying no attention to the other guys.

Feeling thankful to be a fan of Liverpool Football Club and the opportunity to closely follow the fortunes of these players, coaches and the extremely large, diverse family who live and die with them.

Also thankful to be able to interact on here with so many of you as we enjoy the game of football and the passion of supporting Liverpool. Thanks to JD and whoever else makes it happen. I wish you all the best of matchday experiences.

Today is the day. There is no other.
