Have to admit I only saw a bit of our game as I was focusing on the City Spurs match. After we scored I thought we controlled the game well, very professional.
Now roll on the weekend and let's see how City react to the quadruple dream vanishing, I think they might be a bit fu**ed up.

Please try to explain to me Why, as an LFC fan you would do this on a night when we (only) had a 2 goal lead from an home leg in which we should have put the game to bed Porto were more than capable of recovering the game especially based on the first 25 mins.
Yes the game was all over after our first BUT you still chose to watch our closest League rivals over your own team!

I live in Australia having emigrated last year and rose at 4-30am to watch my team, I watch via the internet (1 min delay) and only turned over after THIS site posted the FT score to see Sterling score their 5th, I cannot understand anyone choosing NOT to watch their own team!

      Well get the F**k innnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn.

That first half an hour, I really feared the worst. Thank F**k that Marega fella couldn't find the net of any his chances he had.

Then we just took over and what a sublime performance from the lads again especially after HT.

Looking forward to playing Barca with Luis and Couts to come to Anfield and bringing Messi with them. Going to be a cracker of a tie, can see them scoring at Anfield but can see us scoring more away goals then them, when we go to the Nou Camp.

Come on lads, 1 more step to rectifying last Seasons result.

We look like a proper trophy winning team, battering teams while not at full speed ... I really think we'll make the double this year.

Most of our lads have tasted the the sting of defeat , I think that has only grown them into what they are now ,we are a calm measured unit ,
Porto were always going to give it hell first 25 last night the fact we stood in the gale and stood strong is testament to how this team has grown , for all fans saying we really struggled first half , we went in one up and eventually won the tie 6,,,1 you don’t win a quarter final in Europe by that score on accident
A very measured professional performance a couple more games to glory lads .

Currently re watching the game, and I don’t think we were under as much pressure as it felt live

We really weren't mate. They had only one real chance of note I can recall and that fell to Brahimi who scuffed it.

Stat sheet said Porto had all the chances but almost all of them would've taken something special to beat Alisson from where they were hit.

The game went as expected. They came out with a lot of energy and purpose but we did well to keep them out and eventually wore them down and punished them on the scoreboard.

      Really the perfect night.

My thoughts are this. We would have to play Barcelona either way. I prefer to see them in a Semi than a Final. I like our odds in a Home and Away. At home in the CL we are unbeatable. If we grab a goal or 2 at Barca we advance to the Final. Which gives us either a Spurs or Ajax side who has no finals experience compared to us who have a side which every starter except Allison were there 12 months ago only losing on bad goalie errors.

      Good post mate.

I see Gary neville saying now that United because they have 3 games now in about 8 days should rest players for the city clash as they have Chelsea couple days after and that's a 6 pointer. Everton on Sunday aswell

If we can somehow stay in the tie at the nou camp absorb the pressure that probably will be constant we can nick an away goal on break then back at anfield with the crowd we have a chance. I agree if we get to the final and its great to see new teams like spurs and ajax reach the latter stages for a change then we would have more experience in the final. Just need get pass barca messi coutinho n suarez. Great game to look forward too and better still city are gone. No more quadruple chat for them

Fixture schedule has us playing Newcastle Sunday 5th May then Barca Tuesday 7th; just one day rest?!  Surely that'll change??

Sky have the Newcastle game so ultimately it will be their call to move it back unfortunately

Stay in game? Mate they will completely change their game for us at home, because if they dont we could literally score 4 and ties over.

We are simply the best counter attacking side in the world.

You'd hope so bit like I say it will be down to us to request and the decision to be down to sky

Only move would be to 12.30 Saturday but that would need Man city's match to be moved and them agreeing

Can you see them doing that?
      I can't
