All in favor of rotation earlier in the season so the manager can always pick his strongest XI in the final stretch. In this case, playing on Friday works for us although it is never a supporter-friendly time slot.  Jürgen may select different players for different.opponents, but at this point rest should not need to be a consideration. It isn't Football Manager where you see 84 percent next to a name and have to bench the player.

These players have been managed carefully all season with rotation and the best of sport science, they know there are but six matches remaining and will be ready to go whenever and however often called upon.

It could easily be decided on goal difference so we should go for the jugular here.
The only scenario it's decided on GD is if city lose 1 of their last 4 and we draw 1 of our last 3, or they lose 2 and we draw 1 and lose 1.  There is very little chance of it being decided on GD so forget about it!

Win our last 3 games 1-0 and GD is irrelevant as City HAVE to drop points for us to win it.

GD isn’t going to be what decides it this year. 3 points is all that matters, if it’s 1-0 then it’s just as good as 6-0.

Given City’s last 3 fixtures, I think it would be a silly move if we went out to try and obliterate teams to boost our goal difference. It’s one of the things we tried under BR and look how that turned out.

Well, these are the games we need to rotate, what's the point of a squad if we dont. Guess Fab wont be risked this week and Keita-Fab-Hendo might be the midfield at Camp Nou, so think we'll start with Milly-Gini-Lallana, if the latter is fit (Keita if not). Origi might take the place of one of the front-3, probably Mane? Joe and Lovren for TAA and Matip.

      Origi-Bobby-Mo
      Milly-Gini-Lallana
      Robbo-Virgil-Lovren-Gomez
      Alisson

Subs: Migs, TAA, Matip, Hendo, Keita, Shaq, Mane

Hopefully, Shaq plays a lot more than 5 mins, coming on for Mo and giving him a breather.

I was thinking Klopp might rotate a few players, but then I realized we have plenty days between these games and the barca game next wednesday.

So I can see him only tweaking the odd 1, depending on fitness.

Think we have more than enough fire power to take Huddersfield but I would like to see us blitz them early be 2 or 3 up before half time and then rest players,

If we play well of course we'll cut down the GD but it's not important really. Only a specific set of circumstances brings it into play.

With it being Wednesday until our next game I don't think we should be resting anyone, maybe Gomez and Fabinho (if fit) could come in.

Think they will both come in. I’d be very surprised if Gomez didn’t start, think we need him vs Barca so with his cameo at the weekend and his hour with the U23s, it’s probably the right time for him to get a start now. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him at CB for this game and then slot into RB for Barca.

That's something I'd be considering if I were Jürgen.

Play Gomez and Milner at full back.

Was just about to post that Si.

They’re so important to our game but we can beat Huddersfield with Joe ‘n’ Jimmy and have Robbo / Trent flying out the blocks for Barca.

This is a game we should win without any bother and an ideal time to give them a rest to freshen up for the rest of the run in.

Looks like Trent might be given a rest for sure to give Gomez a game.

Id also consider Lovren for Matip.

Lovren and Gomez both need minutes and Matip & Trent have played lots of games recently.

Cant see Robbo being rested, maybe taken off early.

No way would I bring in Gomez for Trent. These lot will sit back and look to frustrate and our attacking full backs have been crucial recently.

I'd be more tempted to rest Trent away to Barca and play Gomez then. I'd go with:

      Alisson
      Trent Matip VanDijk Robertson
      Gini Hendo Keita
      Salah Bobby Mane

We are going for our first league title in 29 years where we have a proper chance. Thank Christ some of you aren't the manager.

No way will Klopp do that!

Was my thoughts too, but Gomez is hardly a rubbish replacement for Trent. Arguably, Gomez is more suited to play Huddersfield.

Suspect Fab wont be risked, as it seemed quite a bad head knock on sunday.
