They know what they’re in for Tuesday night at Anfield..

Which isn't much with Salah and Firmino both out  :f_wah:

Dembele wouldn't even start. Needed suarez messi to get injured. Massive blow Bobby is out for season. Mo doubt as well. With wolves one match to guarantee European football if both are out for wolves match that be a massive blow

We went to the Nou Camp and did this -

      53% possession to their 47%........

      15 shots to their 12.............

      5 corners to their 3....................... .

Forced them to change their system.................

Yet we lost the game 3-0.

      It was a freak result.

It won't happen again and definitely not at Anfield.
Were not guna beat barca they will defo score so we need five and without firmino who out for season and possibly Mo as well where are all these goals guna come. Wolves be a difficult game they have our game to guarantee European comp. Please F***ing God though Mo OK and somehow can play again this season. Origi and sturridge who done OK tonight just don't have the mobilit certainly not to beat a barca team who all had the night off

Without Mo and Bobby it really is mission impossible on Tuesday, we'd need some kind of miracle to score the required goals. Hopefully Mo can make it.

Hmm. I know mate but for us to score 3/4 before they score one is a step too far. I think we looked okay, but they were very good.

Milner/Salah chances will define this tie I think. Massive moments that would've changed everything.

Me? Someone must've had my phone and posted this.

Absolute delirium. A manager wins you some games, and Klopp won that one by the sub he made and allowing midfielders to take far more risk than they have this season.

I cannot believe some of the knee-jerk reactions coming out after that game. No way in hell was that a 3-0 game. I have no issue with the 3 they scored, they were fantastic goals, but those three absolute sitters we missed were unreal. And we're not talking about chances by luck, we're talking about chances created after pure quality football.

We had more shots on goal, more corners and 52% possession - on their home turf. To put it into perspective, below are some of the other "big teams" stats at Nou Camp this year.

      Man Utd 34%
      Athletico 36%
      Real Madrid 43%

We took the game to them and outplayed them for large parts of the game. This is supposedly the best club team in the world who were forced to make a defensive change at home out of fear.

Nobody is looking for excuses or being naive, the scoreline is the stat that matters at the end of the day. But seeing some of the posters marvel at Barca's "quality" and dismiss our lads as buckling under pressure is doing a huge disservice to the team. Sometimes, you just don't get the luck in football regardless of how well you play, but to have this inferiority complex against Barca or Real last year is ridiculous.

I for one believe we can get three at home next week, probably more, but more importantly I want to beat them to underline that we are capable of beating the so called "best in the world".

All I can say is - unlucky lads, you did not deserve that scoreline, but do what you did last night and you can easily score 5 against these just like you destroyed Roma and City last year.

I just want to put this back out there  :D

Just thought I'd throw this thread back across the table.

Interesting and often hilarious comments from us all, after that sickening 3-0 defeat.

      It might cheer everyone up.

Think the main differences here are the 3-0 at Barca was an even game chance-wise, the score-line being hugely flattering to Barca; with Madrid, the 3-1 score-line flattered US! Also, no fans is massive as the unbelievable run of negative results at Anfield this year has shown, so all in all, a more difficult task, maybe.

However, we've ALWAYS got a chance on nights like these, let's hope JK gets his selection, tactics & motivation right & the players selected respond accordingly.

Either one of the mods or Clint has changed the scoreline... can't quite understand why meself.

I bumped it up for the comedy element really, just to read over some of the rants after the game and how the majority wrote us off for the second leg ( including myself tbh )
As Cloughy often said "It only takes a second to score a goal"
