      Pre-Match: Newcastle United V Liverpool (04/05/19 - 19:45)
      May 02, 2019 09:46:04 am

This season is far from over and we can go back top with a win here putting the pressure firmly back on City.

A frustrating night in Barcelona but lets not forget we actually played well. Expect a backlash from the Reds! 0-2 Redmen!!  :kop5cf8koxp6: :kop5cf8koxp6:

The lads have nothing to feel down about, they played well last night and I expect us to take it out on the Geordies (through no fault of their's) and take some momentum into the Barca return leg.

Would you drop those 2 sh*t players you want sold Mane and Salah for this must win game as they never produce when the pressure is on...???

Think it will be Lovren in for Matip, even though I think Matip played well vs Barca, I think Klopp will just change it up a bit.

Think we could possibly see Shaqiri come into the team in place of Wijnaldum and switch the formation to a 4-2-3-1.

Expect Trent in for Gomez and Ox to play some part.

It is what it is, a must win game and we need to bounce back.

Will show what we are made of, we should batter them after what happened at Nou Camp.

Got a feeling we may huff & puff a bit after last night; uncomfortable 2-1 win with Salah scoring a worldy after missing the tap-in last night!

I think your first post was deleted by the mods for being irrelevant and bullying in nature, especially since this rather pathetic attack on me is occurring on two threads.

How it is irrelevant I am asking you a direct question on your choice of team as you don't rate the players I mentioned.

I refer you to the answer I have already given multiple times now, as you are good at trawling through old posts I'm sure you can dig them out.
That is an end to the matter.

We need to just go do the job and be ruthless if we need to be. Score as many goals as possible and hope Leicester can at least get a draw on Monday.

This, or we come out pumped up and pissed off, and make it game over for
      them very early.

Think well be raging after wednesday, and will get right in the barcodes faces. Press press press and batter them about 4 - 0. Everyone on 100% adrenalin for 90 mins.   Well maybe not Divoc eh ?

If we don't come out full throttle with a point to prove after Wednesday then I'll be quite surprised. I think Newcastle will feel the full effect of our defeat to Barca, the players will still be hurting after that unfair score line.

I'm going for 3-0 to us.

Try to be as positive as possible, Newcastle always a tricky game. Play to our strengths, should be too much for the home side. At least going with an away win.

I fully expect the reds to  take out there disappointment & frustration of Wednesday nights result into the Newcastle game and take that anger into the  return leg on Tuesday.

Just no injuries. I want us to beat Barca and get some pride back. I know, one game at a time, but that's for players and managers. I just want us to blitz Barca.

Newcastle are not a dirty team are they, well with the exception of looney Shelvey!

BTW St James' Park is not a happy hunting ground for us, the last time we won there was back in 2013, mind you we did win 6-0 that day! Since then a lot of draws and a few defeats, time to get back into 2013 mode and reverse that stat, same as we did with the Chelsea stat where we hadn't beaten them at home since 2012!

Not dirty, but we have picked up two key injuries in the past 7-10 days. We've played a lot of matches and well, it just happens. But in the presser today, Jürgen didn't sound too likely to have Firmino on from the start. That may be with an eye on Tuesday so then the same question I started the first leg pre match thread with applies:who do we start if Bobby can't go?

(Btw a number of you did expect four midfielders for that, although I don't know anybody foresaw Gini being pushed up)

For Saturday I expect Origi in a front three.

Difficult game against a very well organised Rafa side who are playing without the threat of relegation. Does Klopp play our strongest 11 and then put our title hopes firmly in the hands of Leicester or does he save a bit for Wednesday still in the hope of turning in a comeback from 3 zip down? I would expect him to rotate a few players for this one. I think Ox might play a part, Trent will start, Lovren will play and I wonder if Shaqiri even gets a game. No Sturridge please.

Does anyone know if Perez is fit for them? I know he came off with a hip injury last weekend, big boost if he's not fit.

Got to finish the job and force City to win out.
