Massively relieved there. My heart. We live another day!!!  :f_doh:

Look at Newcastle going for it desperately even in the dying moments.. what is going on? When did the last team City played actually try to do them over??

Rafa going for it in injury time too with his sub. Thought the man was a RED!!

As a true Red, I wouldn't have expected anything other than an honest fight from Rafa. Anyone who thought he was going to lie down for us seriously misunderstands the bloke.

Well done reds, well done Divock, well done Jürgen.

Don't think I need to see Lovren play for the reds again.  Far too stressful.

I think we can add Sturridge to Lovren.

Don't like to knock players to much but Lovren kick started Newcastle with that poor back pass and he doesn't cover TAA very well.

Gave VVD MOTM. Shaq earned his corn by taking responsibility from TAA for the cross. TAA was out swinging it. Shaq knew the in swinger is harder to defend and he executed it perfectly.

Exactly. Why would he put his reputation on the line too? He'd basically be a match-fixer.

I'd rather have us win like this and earning the victory than having a team lie down for us. F**k that. Nothing beats this feeling.

City fans must fookin hate watching our games during this run in. How many times is that? Fulham late winner, Spurs Kate winner, tonight, am sure there was another. That’s our 8th win on the bounce. Think we might be screwed for Tuesday night but we’ve forced city to win their last 2 and taken it to the last weekend. An incredible effort. Fingers crossed Mo is ok, suspect he is missing for Barca 😕

Hopefully they still have to get at least a draw to secure 7th place!

Didn't expect him to lie down. He gave a good game. But to be going for it in injury time like that, knowing what that would do... I don't get that.

That result just might have put a few extra gallons back in the tank for Barca's visit.
Was just about to say the same ,that’s a massive confidence boost going into Tuesday.

I actually preferred us winning with a late goal rather than hammer newcastle as it will piss city off more we scored so late. They were sure it was there's already.. I hope Mo is guna be OK if its concussion its usually a few days. Please god he's fine.

Agreed Billy, but their fans booing Mo off on a stretcher was bang out of order.

Holy f**k, me nerves are shot, through the wringer and out the other side …. with the 3 points :)
Thank Christ, cause thought it was gone at 2-2 there, with Mo going off, and we'd stopped creating chances.
But there is always hope, the lads never give up and we DUG it out of God knows where, they must be nackered.

What a shame it would be though if Mo is out for the rest of the season, have to wait and see, but doesn't look good.
On the night, did the job. Back to Citeh...

Thought VVD did well against Rondon, but Lovren struggled. TAA, 2 or 3 assists, super from the lad. Robbo good too.
Midfield, workmanlike - very little creativity from them tonight. Worked hard but looked short on ideas.
Up front, thought Sturridge was an absolute f**king passenger, wasted chances, gave away possession, didn't tackle. Had a couple of decent passes in the first 15 mins, and that was it. Don't know how many times I shouted at him to sort his f**king self out.
Mane was quiet enough, again though had a couple of chances to score. Shaq didn't do much when he came on.
Great goal from Mo, and easy header for VVD.
And Origi again in the right place at the right time.

Absolutely unbelievable season from the lads, they just keep winning, 94 points, toughing it out in ropey games like that, don't know how many times have said they deserve something to show for all this - just have to cross the fingers now ...

Well in boss, that was a nail biter, but job done again.

He was told to take responsibility  was no where near it until Virg barked the order
