what impressed me and actually blew my mind was the intensity of our effort for 95 mins it never dropped once I would love to see just how far the lads run no wonder they looked both physically and emotionally drained afterwards. There was a comment thatJurgen killed his players and they had nothing left at the end of a season but I didn't see any tired legs last night and I don't think another team on the Planet could have coped with us last night.
Agreed Wal.
When Hendo went down with his knee I honestly thought he would be coming off.. The physio was talking in his little mic back to the dug out as if to tell them he was finished and it looked like he was in a lot of pain, but he hobbled back up, went over to the touchline and carried on and played on like nothing happened, harassing and closing down brilliantly.
Then, when VVD collapsed with that head clash, I thought 'Oh No' we can't lose him to concussion as well surely.. but he pulled himself up and battled on..
A proper battle we won last night against the polished prince's of Barcelona..
Some of their newspaper headlines this morning are unbelievable..
