I went for Ali - thought, ultimately, he made the difference.

Top, top world class. Hopefully given the odd ‘critics’ who’ve been gobbing off all season a couple weeks off.

Tuesday night I went with Allison as well, and no doubt he made a huge contribution since the dynamics all change if Messi scores that chance early on or if they convert that attack in stoppage time of the first half (and the 2nd half saves). So I don't regret choosing him, but after watching highlights about 25 times, I finally watched the whole match back last night and then this morning over here. The player who jumped out to me on closer, less-maniacal viewing, is Sadio Mane. His running was indefatigable.  Not just for stamina, but the difference he made to the attack, to the press, his work in doubling back defensively. Sadio was a BIG part of this win, even if he didn't score.

I love the fourth goal, I watched the entire moment, but seriously I still can't stop laughing at how Trent caught them all on the hop. Did they not see the corner we scored in Cardiff? Obviously not. Mind you Belgium's most famous Kenyan almost missed it. It was almost headed away but he got his 6th goal of the season. So Trent's brainwave meant 3 hours of football was settled in 3 seconds flat. 4 goals was enough. Last year we needed 7 goals to progress, this year there was 7 goals in the tie, but the outcome was the same, Liverpool in the European Cup Final.

Have repped your good post, but wanted to respond this one bit where you seem to have a dig at Origi (apologies if I have this wrong). Watch it again and there's really only one place Divock can put it and score. He was alert enough to turn on the ball and hit it with power. The goalkeeper was surprised but he is in a decent position and most likely had anything near post covered. The defender is rushing over and probably has anything far post covered just by being there. Origi put it just inside him and behind the goalkeeper. Yes the defender attempts to nudge it with his head in desperation of course, but he can't reach it because of how well it is struck It's a good finish and not an "almost-miss." Great goal for him, Trent, and all of us.

I read this but it was on Tribal football so who knows how reliable mate

" A Liverpool ballboy was seen taunting Barcelona star Lionel Messi after Tuesday night's Champions League semifinal shock.

The child ran in front of a distraught Messi and made a rude gesture, raising two fingers in front of him.

The ballboy was chased by a steward as he sprinted across the turf in delight. "

According to twitter the lad is on one of the supporters coaches heading for Madrid.

Just watched the game highlights again...

We took the piss out of Barca & humiliated them to the extent some of their players can’t get us out their heads & have showed erratic behaviour ever since 😂

Very entertaining. My favorite bit "oh history writer, don't close the pages yet."

I get most of the references, but why does he mention Mourinho?

He said on Bein sport he would bet not one single coin on Liverpool.

Fair enough really but he was proven wrong.

      I really hate Arabic commentators

they talk so much and things that are irrelevant about the game. sometimes even life stories of players.

      Quick question...

Does the season review DVD/BluRay disc have LFCTV commentary or the BT sport one?

I can’t stand the LFCTV commentary - thanks guys.

You can answer an off-topic question I've had for a while. Would someone who plays County cricket but not for England,  be able to make a living at that?

Just come on and this is the first post I seen... in the Liverpool 4 Barca 0 thread.

      My head's gone.
