Anyone, anyone....Please......I totally understand that this is a slim chance but it's the first and most preferable place we will always come too.
Taking "slim chance" to extreme levels I think. The only people who would willingly give up tickets are locals really, for thousands of Euro, where you could be stuck anywhere in the stadium, or in the wrong end, which brings it's own issues.
The annual criticism of the ticketing arrangements has come from all quarters. As seen by the allocations, fans are not given any consideration at all. They could hold it in an empty stadium and the game would just carry on regardless.
As regards accommodation and logistics, I'm sure UEFA thought one or both sides would be Spanish, so there would be less demand on transport and hotels. Last year, everyone moaned that Kiev was not a suitable venue for the final, and that they should all be in Western Europe. While Robbo recently boasted that Madrid is much easier to get to than Kiev. Well it's not really much better, is it? Next year, it's off to Istanbul where the same issues will be worse again. We were complaining about the suitability of Basle, Brussels and Athens all those years ago, now it's Madrid. It's just something you come to expect and live with.
