3 weeks is far too long at the end of the season luckily it is same for all teams as they are all English but a massive Cock up, nevertheless.   10 days to 2 wks max.  I can see match sharpness being key in both finals.

Very much favours the continental sides with their extended seasons.

UEFA clearly didnt factor in 4 English finalists and neither did the Premier League with their start time to the season.

Klopp always mentions it - there’s no training or fitness regimes that can match a competitive game of football.
Agreed "Form" cannot be achieved on the training ground it comes through playing competitive games. Physically the lads will be chomping a the bit to play I just hope they have kept their sharpness but at least it is the same for Spurs

Surely it favours the side which can rest and recuperate  for 3 weeks or am I missing something here?

I think you're missing LFC's record after rest and recuperation this season.

The thankful level playing field this season is that we're playing an English side, but yes I do believe that 3 weeks without a competitive game is a disadvantage compared to a team that might have just a full week.  As Madrid had last year.

We will win the 4-1. Salah with the opener. Then VvD and Hendo each scores one. They will get one back but then Mane kills the game on a counter attack. It's written.

I've got a feeling that Salah and Ox will score the goals to win it for us this year.  Heartbreak for them last year -- redemption this year!!

I love the optimism in this post

I'd also love for it to come true.

I just cannot see how we lose this game. We are the better team, both will be equally "rusty", and we have the extra fire burning in our belly to make right after last year's cuntiness from Ramos.

It’s football mate and can be so F***ing cruel. Milan would have felt the same with the players they had yet they went home empty handed.

Exactly. We had a stronger team than Milan in 07/08 and probably better team than Real last season.... look what happened?!

Also, this ref assigned to the final scares me, look how easy he gave that pen to Utd vs PSG.

Hopefully the Premiership sort out their fixtures next year at the 3rd time of asking.  Might be still too much of an ask.

We've had our fair share of bad luck since then though 2 CL Finals, 2 League campaigns down to last day a Europa League Final, a FA Cup Final and League Cup on pens, we could have had a fantastic record since then... We have to win the CL this year after such a superb points tally in the league. It would kill City seeing us win..

Well, due to the amount of time we're having to wait, I am becoming more and more anxious, and am now on "scenario #47" of how we lose in my fevered imagination.

I think there will be nothing comfortable about it. We have every capability of winning it of course, but Spurs have the same opportunity as us at this point. Nothing will be given to us. The fact that we all want it so much doesn't make it any closer to happening. We have every chance of winning, AND losing.

      Now let's do this!

      Exactly.

Why is this game not next Saturday?  Is there a domestic league still being played?

      Think so.
That and UEFA wanting to milk as much out of it as possible.

Thing is, I won't be nervous when the match finally comes round.
It's the F***ing waiting that's doing my head in.
