Napoli friendly is at murryfield Edinburgh Sunday 28th July.

Playing Lyon in Geneva and Schalke at Anfield. Also play away at Tranmere Rovers and Bradford City (to benefit Stephen Darby's foundation) before going to the U.S. And of course the Charity Shield vs. City (before the Anfield friendly)

It's a robust preseason with a lot of matches. I would think even the players we plan to loan out will stay around until close to the end of the transfer window.

Edit: Has an official preseason training date been announced? I"m thinking July 1 (not for everybody of course).

Ha ha! Remember all that Juan Mata nonsense!

Liverpool v Napoli at Murrayfield? Finally - a quality sport with some world class teams on show at that place!  :P Edinburgh won't know what's hit it!

No but seriously - what a great fixture and a fantastic venue and city for it. Delighted that Liverpool, as Champions of Europe, are up in Scotland.

Will definitely be moving heaven and earth to get a ticket for that one.

Hope Murrayfield rugby season ticket holders get tickets as I know loads of them. Fingers crossed.

About 3 weeks from now Mo will be back. Wonder if him and the other current internationals will take a shorter break though. Luckily even if they have the 3 weeks, they won’t lose too much fitness or much sharpness in that time so will get back up to speed quicker than the ones reporting back for training now.

Sounds like he will rejoin the squad when the team is in France for training, near the time of the friendly in Geneva vs. Lyon.
