      Phillipe Coutinho (Barcelona)

This little fellas name keeps popping into my head when I think about new summer signings,  so I think we should have a debate on whether we should bring him back or let the ship sail on ,

I honestly can't make up my mind so I'm throwing it out there to see what you guys Really think....

We all know how good a player he is, was or can be, and his stint at Barcelona hasn't really prospered as he clearly wanted it to,

So I guess the question should be....is he too good a player for us NOT to go in for considering his qualities,  how he played with us before, fits into a Klopp system and adding further depth  ?

It's a no for me for that pathetic excuse he made for not playing (back injury)

We have looked a better and more balanced team since he left. We do not miss him.

I think we saw when he left that we really didn't miss him that much. Yes when he was good he was very very good but far to often he used to go missing in games and his defensive work was always lacking and that is a key part of the Klopp system that everyone defends as a unit.
In summary I'm not that interested in bringing him back.

I don't think we can afford to have him back,I say that not in a monetary term but in a attitude term.

I don’t want him back. Left us to win more things. Now that we won the CL he wants to join us to win even more things.

It’s cheaper for us to send him a full set of replica medals from UEFA and all leagues for the next five years than to sign him for another five.

I loved the lad while he was with us.
I was really disappointed with the way he moved on, I though it was disrespectful and immature.

      Would I have him back?
I'd like to say yes but that's my heart, and my head is saying his attitude won't have grown with the rest of the lads' attitudes, his tendency to sulk if things aren't going his way won't help, he hasn't been missed in terms of team shape and play (in fact things have improved), he shoots when keeping/passing the ball would be the better option, and he just doesn't seem to be a Klopp type of player.

So its a no from me.

I'd be amazed if Jürgen would entertain the idea, to be honest, after the way he dismissed Sakho, etc.

Just hope he doesn't end up one of our League rivals, that would be sad.

However, if he does come back he will be able to tell our lads that the grass isn't always greener on the Iberian peninsular!

Yes, if he is under £50m and takes lesser wages than what he is earning now.

No don’t think so mate, but like you said it would be strange to see him with another prem club, PSG are reported to be interested and with Neymar ‘the Dive’ said to be moving on, Paris could be his next destination,

I must say tho, your initial response to my question has given me a different light on his potential return, I too didn’t like how he left, nor the supposed shenanigans of feigning injury, moaning etc prior to him putting in his transfer request,
Klopp is full on when players don’t sing from the same song sheet so in that respect the Coutinho return is most doubtful, however, never say never in this game and like I said, quality is high in this case and well, you never know....

We don't need Coutinho back. We just got a better team after he left.

Yes for me if price is right.

Will add quality and teams play a different way against us now.

If the price is right, I'd take him back, but I think there are probably better options out there.

We improved as a team without him. Became far more resilient and dynamic BUT we do have those games where we need a little spark of magic.
We are missing that kind of player.
Perhaps to come back to us as an option B isn’t a terrible idea.

Explain how having the option of playing a 4-2-3-1 as well as a 4-3-3 isn't improving a team?
He would be our most creative player.
