I'm sure I'm opening myself to some angry replies...but, I dont think the WWC should of used women referees. They're not good enough to be on such a stage as a World Cup. Period.
I dont say this as a sexist statement.  I say this as FIFA should be using the best available referees in the world and considering these current referees have very little top flight experience they should be using referees from the top leagues and Champions League for example. The men have experience on the big stage.Just because it's the Women's World Cup doesn't mean you have to use women for every thing in the tournament.  If FIFA want to expand the game and involve women then open up the top flight leagues to women. Give them the experience they need to succeed and become top referees.

Hopefully England will go out of the tournament via some harsh VAR call, and then we'll see all the self-righteous English lose the plot again.

What a spiteful and nasty thing to say, even if England got some lucky decisions in the game, which is very debatable, how is that their fault?

You should see what is being said by English media and supporters about Cameroon. More than spiteful and nasty.

What, the noble Cameroon team who behaved like children and refused to play on 2 occasions? BTW I have now watched the highlights and every single decision was correct, so shut up with this nonsense, you lost deal with it! Its not like the Cameroon team had any hope of winning any way.

Thought they behaved like women actually  :f_tongueincheek:

The decisions were correct, but I can understand their frustration. There will be much more frustration as VAR is used more widely, and as I say, it may be different if England suffer defeat by it too. Bet they won't be coming out with "rules are the rules" then.

I did not lose - Cameroon are not my team by the way.  :lmao:

Only thing I've seen was the Cameroon goal ruled out for offside.  Very tight but VAR got the correct decision.

Saw the 'spit' and to be honest I still haven't decided if it was deliberate or not and that's after about 12 hours.

If a player is standing so close to you, why would you spit in that direction and at that angle? I think it was deliberate.

I've heard a spectrum of opinions from the British media, but the fact stands, VAR got the offside calls correct.

Aye, the rules are the rules. But some of the comments being made about Cameroon are borderline racist.

Hope England face a similar circumstance and we'll see how they react.

I see two more penalties today for USA. Has any penalty been validly saved yet? Keeper is rooted down and the kicker has a huge advantage.

Edit: haha, so just tonight a penalty is saved. Poor penalty though. But it is possible after all

The replay and freeze frame I have seen shows that the Cameroon players heel was about 1 inch offside at best prior to Cameroon's goal.

Therefore it can't be given as offside by VAR.

Shes F***ing offside. Black, white, African or Australian. Offside.

I've been watching the WWC and the US. The US Back Crystal Dunn is a phenomenal defender. Shes a shutdown back. Great on the 1v1 and tackles. Shes single handedly shutting down a lot of the French play. She was great vs Spain and Sweden.

Hoping England beat USA tonight. Can't stand that USA team.

But if England do go out, it's got to be via a controversial/tight VAR call.  ;)
