;D that's actually the main reason why I want USA to lose. Bet Trump does too.

I usually support any team against England, but tonight, I hope her two weeks of fame will be over!

I want to, despite it being physically and medically impossible, have Alex Morgan’s babies.

Women's football has undoubtedly improved, but still a bit meh. Feels weird watching and knowing what should happen, but the reality does not match. Guess it would be the same watching lower league football.

There is a total mismatch across the pitch which is also a bit odd. A decent player will come up against a poor player, and it all goes a bit mad. Not just in ability but also physical presence. Some of these girls cannot run or lack composure when pressed.

      Is what it is eh?

USA much superior though and fully deserve to be ahead.

VAR is so freaking tough.  The England striker was maybe three inches offside.

Took about 5 minutes for VAR to decide it’s a penalty and then the resulting penalty was a pathetic attempt.

Terrible VAR ruling to award the penalty.  But England can’t convert.

Ball don’t lie. Was never a pen to begin with.

The refs in this World Cup have been atrocious.

And that last tackle should have been a straight red regardless. Ridiculous to even complain about that.

That was a penalty according to the way VAR is done now.. but the attempt was shocking.

Didn’t think it was a penalty either, saved the blushes of a horrible tap in chance missed though.

Ref didn’t have a clue, wasn’t even going to show a red card, forgot had already booked her once!

I know the quality of officiating is higher but wow.  If this is what VAR is going to bring to the game well, no thanks.

By higher I mean in the Prem.

they should not be using sl-mo on VAR its a joke and the only view should be that of the Referee or we may as well just stop using lines people. Every contact should not result in a free kick or penalty its just a joke

Just got to watch the replay of the game and how the heck is that a penalty, though White's dive like she was shot from close range was amusing.  Shameful if VAR is going to mess these types of calls up.

This game was moons better and more entertaining than the product 25% of the premier league teams put out there with 11 men behind the ball and no desire to get out of their own box hoping to steal a point.

Hoping England beat USA tonight. Can't stand that USA team.

But if England do go out, it's got to be via a controversial/tight VAR call.  ;)

      That will do.

I've suffered the disappointment of many England defeats but not this. This is barely football so for me it simply means nothing.

Fair play to the women though, they picked themselves up and took the VAR call without dispute after their goal was disallowed. They were if course buoyed by hope, the game was still  very much theirs. They then benefited from VAR but wasted that golden chance.

Was a penalty though. Correct decision. That's VAR. The rules are the rules mantra.

What needs to change is the communication. We need to know why some incidents get looked at but others don't. And if the decision has been made by the officials in the VAR room, then what is the point in the referee spending minutes to go and check the same videos?

Was actually a fairly entertaining game but the US team are about the only team that has any kind of wow factor, both their goals were quality, whilst England's was slightly lucky scuffed shot. Having said that England played pretty good and the Woman's game is improving every time I watch it.
