Larouchi taken to the cleaners and then everyone else was just stood still. Larouchi looks promising going forward but defensively he's shocking, he has a lot to learn before he's anywhere close to be considered as cover for Robbo

And the field was laid down on top of field turf, so it’s horrible. A shame as Notre Dame just converted to field turf, they had natural grass for years

Same problem for both teams though, we can't use the pitch as an excuse. First half was pretty even, we may have even edged it with the chances we had but in this 2nd half so far, we are getting pulled from pillar to post.

What a ball in by Lewis, absolute quality. And what a penalty by Brewster! Looked a bit nervous when stepping up, but that was a cracker.

Bore off, you don't want to go into the season playing sh*t for christ sake. Pre-season or not we want to be playing well. If you don't care what the score is then why are you bothering with the topic?

That ball in by Lewis in the build up to the penalty was damn good, boss pen by Brewster too.

Adam Lewis' left foot is pinging boss passes! Nice knockdown by Jones but Brewster was definitely being optimistic thinking he could win that challenge fairly

Ah, yes. That game in Indiana on July 19th with a makeshift starting lineup sure is a leading indicator of what could happen when the season starts in 3 weeks. Are you serious with this drama sh*t? This is basically a pickup game to work on things and get their legs under them.

Pre-season or not, I want to see us winning or at the very least playing well and the way the players are playing now and pushing for a goal and throwing themselves to put in blocks, tell them it's only a pre-season friendly that no one gives a toss about and it's just about fitness. People are laughing at Chelsea for losing to some random team in pre-season so why can't some of us want us to put a good shift in?! Your the one taking issue with that so the drama sh*t is on you lad. You don't give a toss? That's fair enough, but you may as well stay out the topic and stop replying if that's the case because otherwise you will give the impression you are actually bothered.

Sh*t, we just lost our first game of the US tour, there goes our chance at winning the league. I guess we’ll need to focus on the champions league and get the panic button ready.

This is why I’ll never pay those crazy prices to watch a preseason game. It had no intensity and other than the kids trying to make an impression no one seemed to really give a crap out there.

So Brewster can take a pen as well and Wilson can score a goal too.

Decent game and on to the next one.

Nah Hendo wasn't getting fired up, Van Dijk wasn't being his usual self, Robbo wasn't firing balls into the box and looking to beat his man and Migs wasn't attempting to save anything

For someone who doesn't care about the game, you seem to have a fair bit to be commenting to try and justify why we lost.

Losing to Dortmund in the states is good karma...worked well last year.

Enjoyed the match and saw a lot of positives. When the 2nd half began their fresh lineup really took advantage of some players, especially our midfield, who looked shattered after a week of intense training the the heat. Once we changed we looked much more like ourselves and could have equalized (although Migs kept us in it, to be fair). I never thought we weren't trying, but Dortmund took us apart too many times. Clyne was not good.

Larouci at fault for their 3rd but overall has been good. Didnt realize Lewis had come on. Glad the way the subs fought back.

It is better we lose games preseason than when the season starts.I am not too worried about the result as any faults can be corrected over the next few weeks.

VVD, Robbo and Trent with another clean sheet though!

Haven't watched the game in full yet but looks like the damage was done in the 15 minutes after half time when they had changed their full side for fresh players and we were trying to extend our young lads to 60 minutes.

Was Gotze any good by the way?  Remember when he was our next big hope!?

I'm not bothered about the score line at all, if this was our A-team playing most of the match then I'd be slightly concerned but even then it would be a narrow loss against a good opponent. but its preseason, mostly played for fitness with a complete mish match team and we created some decent chances and looked crap in defence, that is all to be expected at this stage of our build up to the season.

just part of the fitness build up and really nothing to judge. Played in stifling heat and no doubt they had a session early in the morning too.
Norwich is the first game to get excited about.

Only saw 10 mins of highlights but it was good too see young Wilson get in the scoresheet with a nicely taken finish. I really hope he has a good pre season and forces his way into the managers plans. Plus that’s 4 goals already for Brewster, his progress could be key for us this season so it’s great to see him in the goals
