If Lallana can stay healthy than the possibilities of glory increase by 50%. His play is what we are missing. He has looked amazing today

Hoever is quality. So much confidence for such a young lad. Love it and I hope we don't bring in an other fullback. Both Gomez and Hoever can cover, give him the opportunity to develop.

"Klopp must be crazy asking Lallana to play the 6"

And yes, I know he won't play there against top class sides, but he's done well there today and can do a good job against bus parkers.

Hoever looks excellent going forward. Lallana looked Comfortable and Valuable minutes for Mo and Bobby. Looked a little shaky at times at Back but that back 4 will change completely for Sunday

Pleased with Hoever and Larouci. Keita looked up for it. Bobble by Allison but come on referee, total flop by the Lyon player, never a penalty.

Lallana also put in a strong 45. Looked much more like ourselves there.

Lallana is the perfect 6 against the bottom half and bud parker's. Can be the guy to give Fab and Hendo much needed breaks..... If he stays healthy

This game further proves how meaningless those other pre season games were other than for basic match fitness don't understand why some here were getting so worked up over them.

Wilson’s left leg alone is worth £50 million...

I really hope he gets a shot fully in the first 11..

It’s the same every year though dude and we normally win the majority of pre season games despite the extensive conditioning work going on behind the scenes. Also, let’s not forget the opposition are going through an identical process. Results aren’t the be all and end all but my growing unease will increase if we lose another one tonight. And before the thought police come in and spout about the meaningless of performances in pre season I can’t remember posters getting berated quite so much last pre season when we were turning everybody over. In fact, I recall those results gave people a huge dose of optimism which was funny because the results don’t mean squat.

Because last offseason people were excited with the transfers and this offseason some people are panicking and hyperventilating over the lack of transfers, so everything is negative. Most sensible people realize pre-season is just for fitness and that results mean jack sh*t when we're playing games in baseball stadiums only a couple days apart with makeshift squad and tons of rotation, but common sense isn't common.

We still win em though mate, regardless of whether we’ve made a ton of transfers or we’re coming off a World Cup. Good to see the lads looking like winning one here tonight though. Important to get that winning feeling back.

Ps. Reading your post back I’m not sure you got the point I was trying to make?

      So

Seems a good number of young lads will fill some squad roles - Hoever and Larrouci look very capable of being there for the full back roles

Keita looked very sharp , Lallana looks like could be an option against teams that sit deep - Ox looked sharper

And you can see how different it is with Bobby there - superb link player and great to see Wilson find the target

Maybe all is not lost after all

And Elliot is clearly going to be part of the first team squad this season
