      Decent run out.

The lads looked a lot fresher, passing was crisper.

Still means nothing other than fitness and sharpness.

I would assume he is, as he has already debuted for Fulham. However, I swear I read somewhere he needed to wait until 17 to sign a pro contract. I either read that and it was wrong or I'm making sh*t up. Bith are strong possibilities

Yup, panic has subsided after this must-win  :lmao:

Told yers everything will be sound once the big fella is back between the sticks, apart from his little fumble, the defence looked a lot more relaxed and less shakey.

Elliot looks to be a decent little find, definitely going to be an exciting player in the future. I already think him and Hoever will be included within the first team squad for games this season.

Yes, and Lyon looked more like we looked in America, so let's not get carried away. But today we got some new photographs of what our players under Klopp's direction, can play like.

"Klopp must be crazy asking Lallana to play the 6"

And yes, I know he won't play there against top class sides, but he's done well there today and can do a good job against bus parkers.

I didn't see the first " and was wondering what Adam was doing with Klopp's 6".

Really hope we hold onto Wilson. Surely keep him on and sell in January if it’s not working out.

Well after that dhowing, even with a few youngsters in there, I’m feeling a bit more relaxed for the forthcoming games.

I think we have to if we don't make an attacking signing.

Good to see we finally got a win again!

I’ve only seen the first 5 mins so no idea how we played. Not a good blunder from Alisson but it would have come to nothing had the ref not given a penalty for a blatant, and shocking dive.

Indeed. Had a very good season last season for an almost promoted to the Premier League side.

      We need options.

Also as.an over-21 English/Welsh player he essentially creates another roster spot toward 25.

How did Firmino and Salah get on and how 'ready' are they looking?

Bobby only had 30 minutes.  There were 27 players used tonight so I honestly couldn't take anything from it.  I'd imagine Klopp is getting far more out of watching them in training than playing at the minute.

I'd be surprised if either of those two get more than 45 minutes in the Comm Shield.

Just want to agree with everyone who’s said we must keep Wilson. I think we will live to regret it if we let him go, we need options and he will certainly give us that, it’s a no brainier for me.

yes I'd keep Wilson and Brewster alongside Origi, that should actually be pretty ok'ish cover for our forwards. They can be our Lingard and Rashford.

Probs said this before,Steve Hunter is ok commentating about the u-18's etc but his best mates with the players/ remember the good ole days type stuff is tiresome to say the least.

That and Jason McAteer always sounds tired.

I notice on the official site now, all the highlights of the Wilson goal they have expunged where Hunter initially called it for Duncan.  :)

This lineup is all about freshness. Will limit minutes of those who have played a lot and you can expect to see them starting Sunday. Tonight's starters are likely subs (only 5 subs permitted Sunday).

Klopp goes into what I meant with this post.

I thought he called it for Duncan at the time! but there was that split second when he passed it on to Wilson so..  Don't mind Jason McAteer, liked the bit about Aldo being in bed with his horlicks and Aldo was at a bar in Portugal! :food-smiley-005:
