      It’ll be worth the investment.

Bellingham and Rice will cost £250m together. Little bit extra for some back up.

you can see the problem here mate you are being realistic with your valuations and the FSG fan boys are trying to dampen down expectations. It a big boys game owning a top club these days maybe its a game they aren't up to.

We aren’t going to spend £250-300mil on two players

Okay, let’s loan a midfield player that has hardly played for 2 seasons and no other clubs want. That policy has worked perfectly this season.

Do you only deal in extremes ?

You are aware that there are a lot of players inbetween

Did Thiago cost £100plus million ? What about all those other players we have brought in

How many clubs do you think would spend £250-£300mil on two players

At least he realistic and sensible about it

Klopp has been known to sometimes be stubborn in holding out for the player he wants. Virgil is a great example of this.

Not always up to speed on who is who in the British press, but I just made the mistake of clicking on an absolute piece of crap article from the Daily Mirror quoting Paul Merson about Klopp looking to utilize an exit clause in his contract.

Turns out the "exit clause" is that he is free to go after his contract expires.

Shocker. Shame on me for clicking on that crap. Dont do it Reds.

I'm sure he was literally foaming at the mouth in excitement waiting for Ben Davies and Melo to arrive

I would love to get a poll up on this thread for Klopp out, to see how many clueless trolls we have on here. It would be the perfect way to put a number to it.

Dunno. Or maybe we put all our eggs in one basket and when that didn't work, we got stuck with what was left. That happens sometimes if you try to hold out for exactly what you want.

      Was it extremes ?

Klopp wanted Tchouameni he picked someone else , then their next target was unavailable whoever that was so they decided to stick - until a couple players got injured and then looked at short term cover

I'm not actually worried about that, with the way we operate. We're not the kind of club that goes after someone on the back of 3-4 good games at international level. We'll only pursue someone we've carefully observed and vetted over many months/years.

      Agree

I think we probably have a list of players that we have scouted and Klopp likes for different positions. Maybe the club will be more motivated to sign 1 or 2 of then in January if they know CL revenue is at risk.

I doubt that there will be a massive change in strategy and we'll suddenly start signing lots of players.

      400th game in charge tonight.

Only Shanks, Bob and Tom Watson have done that before for our club.

      Great achievement by our Boss.

You on the wind up Billy?

Tell us your not serious, if you are mate you’ve lost yer marbles, and you need to phone 999, or one of the rag’s and tell them you have more sh*te for them to print!!!

Nah mate, completely genuine. Get Stevie in now before we have to pay compo for him. Don't want FSG having to waste money on compensation when they could spend on transfers.

But given we're looking more at a relegation scrap that title challenge this year, it might be worth bringing Hodgson back in. Again, no compo needed. Knows the club. Knows how to keep sides up. And must surely be able to get more out of this side of world class players than what Klopp is currently doing.
