So why did they spend all that money on forwards instead of Midfielders 🤷‍♂️

I'm guessing because they thought Gakpo was good, good value and we were struggling to field a fit player in his position with all the injuries.

Perhaps also they haven't nailed down who they actually want to sign in midfield or that players isn't available yet.

Problems are Bellingham would be mental to join us over any of our competitors bar Chelsea on our current form and long term prospects, even if we stump up the cash and the longer we wait the worse our situation is becoming.

So far this season we've blamed

Trent (called him arrogant and lazy, even tho theres literally zero evidence)
Blamed FSG (for not spending even though they have)
Blamed Salah (said we should sell him)
Blamed Fabhino (said he's 31 so he's past it)
Blamed Ox (he's started 3 games)
Blamed Firmino (31 is past it for all our players apparently)
and now we're saying Klopp lost the dressing room (apparently he's lost the entire dressing room in 6 months)

Pretty soon the body language experts are going to come out of the woodwork.

No one is talking about how much football we're played over the last 2/3 seasons with a shorter summer break for the World Cup and how much that is a factor in general. City are also not the same despite splashing the cash. We have a lot of injuries, I still believe our players being mentally and physically knackered is a big factor

Blamed our assistant manager, a book, the physios, strength and conditioning team,  new training ground,  the disappearance of jurgens  glasses etc

Reminds me of this classic from yesteryear…

“Don’t blame it on the Biscan,
Don’t blame it on the Hamann,
Don’t blame it on the Finnan,
      Blame it on Traore,
He just can’t, he just can’t, he just can’t control his feet... “

I'll be honest, absolutely baffling as the midfield has needed refreshing for a while. Seems like they had a budget, a sh*t one at that, and spent it wrong.

Klopp even came out in November saying the decision to not strengthen the midfield last summer was wrong. In his defence, though, he shouldn't have had to choose in January and should've been able to strengthen both. Surely that's a none argument?

The question for me is - did we really need Gakpo and if they were worried about missing out on him there would be a number of other targets they could have got in the summer

Imo Klopp is waiting for Bellingham and a n other midfielder and they are only available in the coming summer

Possibly Making same mistakes again, what if they don’t land those players?

Got to be more pragmatic, no other teams in world football operate on a we want him and no one else!

Then you would expect that Klopp and the recruitment team have plans for that - it’s what they did with VVD

Well it’s not working anymore. Gakpo looks F***ing terrible and let’s be honest - so does Darwin. Awful recruitment recently.

Maybe that’s why Ward is going - not up to the job that Edwards did

He didn’t make those deals, Klopp wanted Darwin and Pep wanted Gakpo.

      Says who 🤷‍♂️

It’s amazing how many now know the inner working of the club

So the team had £130mil to spend and Ward was overruled by Klopp and Pep and they spent it on two players not needed ?

Most of the back room staff, like the data and stats people have tucked off and Ward is only seeing his notice through.
You think it’s a slick functioning team in the back room?

“Most of the back room staff” 🤷‍♂️

Ian Graham is leaving as is Ward

Quite a lot of back room staff still there

Maybe they think Klopp has been given too much power - could that be the issue ?

Gapko and Nunez are having an absolute nightmare — f**king praying for Diaz and Bobby to come back and play jota as well

Jota got like 27 goals last season .... kept us in the hunt during Mo's post afcon slump. Looked great against City in what was our best performance of the season ... gutting when he got injured.

the worst part is we have to endure the sh*te from the likes of Talksport Sky Sport and the BBC with their experts like Neville who couldnt manage a sweet shop. Has Pep lost the dressing room  too?. Its a blip just a bad one we have Everton Newcastle and RM coming up we will see us back on it for them.

I can’t see us back on it, but I love your optimism. I’ve accepted the reality of a bottom half finish this season.

We got cheated of at least 2 PL titles under Klopp and I'm beyond livid. If the FA has any dignity left we should be awarded those PL titles and City stripped of any title they won under cheating.
