He can’t keep away from the game. His break after Dortmund lasted just a couple of months and this time around he’s lasted just a couple more.

Going to be awkward when he has to sack Pep soon!

Well his long awaited break that he needed most ended quickly…

I guess it was all smoke and mirrors & the real reason for his departure was the return of Edwards & Ward…

I guess a Klopp never wanted to work under them to an agree..

A lot of guessing going on here.

He'll still be on his break until he starts on the 1st Jan, so nothing has ended just yet.

It's a back seat role well away from all the pressure that being a manager brings, which is the reason he gave in the first place. Questioning his integrity, people will do at their own peril.

He was an absolute powerhouse during his time with us...a beacon of light that illuminated every part of this great club, and even the City. He has earned the right to do whatever he pleases in the future, and I'm sure he'll do this new job with that characteristic big smile on his face...good luck to him.

Lofty title but I would imagine quite a hands off job. Like 'General Football God'.

Jürgen keeps his head in the game a bit, gets paid a wedge and in doing so is stimulated and ready for his next real challenge, which is surely leading his national team.

At least it puts to bed the nonsense from some posters on here that he hates to buy players.

He has literally moved to a organisation that exists to make profit from players by trading them like cattle.

Pity our glorious leaders didn’t help him a little more and maybe he could have had a role like what he has taken at Red Bull…..but Jürgen wouldn’t put up with a spend of 10 odd million transfer budget….we will pay for this

When was it said that Klopp hated to buy players - the club bought a lot of players when he wa a manager

In what way is that “hating” buying players ?

He bought 48 players in 9 years at the club

And it was clearly shown throughout his tenure how he worked with the DoF bringing in players
