Today was his 228th Premier League game in charge of the club - the same amount Rafa managed us for.

Wow, if only Rafa could turn some of those draws into wins. Both exceptional

Look at Pep's stats at City. That's what you've gotten if you'd have delivered them cheat mode teams.

Do we care and why should we? Is Pep important to us? The only Pep we care about is Pep Lijnders. Now go care about what’s important to you.

Jürgen Klopp is one win away from 200 victories as Liverpool manager.

Only four men have achieved that feat in the history of our club - Tom Watson, Bill Shankly, Bob Paisley and Kenny Dalglish.

Looks like MUtants will be his 200th victim then on Sunday, incredible considering he’s only just beginning his 6th season, breaking it down that’s an average of 33.3 wins in a 38 game  season, and given that we normally go out of the domestic trophies fairly early that average goes up slightly, can’t quite work out the inclusion of European football in those seasons but at 33.3 wins I think it’s safe to assume that that is f***in awesome .

Klopp had a bit of a run in with a Spanish reporter after the game, the reporter was trying create an issue for Klopp about Simeone running off, kept trying to push the narrative that Klopp reacted angrily.

Klopp ended up waking off. Generally a toxic place Spanish football, from the teams all the way to the reporters.

I always watch the interaction between players after a game or after a goal and Jürgen has created a family of winners here they all want each other to succeed and that must be so rewarding for Jürgen to see. The man is a genius no other word for him but he is also a very very decent human being he will not be here forever so lets enjoy every minute and every success he brings us

It’s simple, he is without doubt the best manager on the planet, now others will say Pep G for what he has won over the years with the clubs he has managed/managing, but for me as good as Pep obviously is, he is a cheque book manager, same with Maureen, they rely on their clubs cheque book to buy/sustain successes wherever they have managed,

With City in particular he has to date reached the £1bn mark, that’s One Billion pounds, that’s a sick amount of money, and he’s far from finished either, contrast this to what Jürgen has been allowed to spend and it’s less than half of that at approximately £480m over a 6 year period, chicken feed in comparison, but  with that colossal amount of money we have won the EPL, a UEFA Champions League, club World Cup and a European super cup, and we aren’t finished either, but the difference is tantamount, when you consider the financial clout of both clubs owners,

Jürgen can’t rely on owners cheque book because even if those funds were freely available as they are at the Emptihad, Jürgen prefers to build sides and the successes that come with it, and that for me and for most is far more rewarding than chucking money hand over fist buying your successes,

But more importantly is the fact that he is totally engrossed in Liverpool, the club itself the community, we the fans, everybody associated with our club, from tea ladies to boardroom, everyone is treated exactly the same, and everyone is as important as the next person, there are no ego’s, there are no big I am’s, and everybody sings from the same song sheet, he is a incredible human being and he gets us totally and unconditionally,

And this is why he will win us another league title, this why he will take us to yet further Champions League glory, on paper and pundits opinions it will look like Pep G, but give Jürgen enough time that will all change, I honestly believe Jürgen WILL extend his time with us, he has built his best side ever, and I can’t see him giving it all up before he is completely and utterly satisfied.

I think it’s hard to discount the similarities between Shankly and Jürgen, both have/ are building foundations for future successes, Shanks for whatever reason decided not to see it through and handed over the reigns to Sir Bob, we have our own Pep who for me is as a equally good & loyal lieutenant as Bob was to Shanks, and capable of taking us forward if required, but unlike Shanks I don’t think Jürgen will fall on his sword as readily as Shanks did, and if you read about it you’ll learn that Shanks regretted his decision after a few weeks.  It won’t happen with Jürgen ! !

As we are rightly praising Jürgen today, people should remember how different he approaches building a team, considering how he can mold and shape a group of men into a top class machine, than what a club like United have done, overpaying for various agent-hyped flavors of the month.

In fact some on here have advocated we buy a number of this players who wet the bed yesterday, Fernandes,  Maguire, Pogba. Others used the Ronaldo signing as an example of how we should do it.

Well how do you like us now?
