The home game will be a relatively strong side. The away game less so, but it won't be a League Cup team, players need minutes.

Firmino was brought on this week when we were already 2-0 up against 10 men, and got injured, his second hamstring of the season, which may keep him out until Christmas. So should he have played at all?

Hindsight bias. These people are never wrong. Crossed a few of these people before and they get me very irritated that they easily knew how things would unfold especially when I couldn't anticipate.

It was so obvious from the start that Bobby would get injured. Anyone could tell. Yet he was used.

Me: If you're that clever why don't you be the manager?

Apparently Southgate is upset that Jürgen questions how he uses his players or doesnt select the likes of Gomez for not playing but then goes and selects Calamity Stones.
Jürgen spends so much time creating a mindset in his players and then has to let them go and be exposed to numpties like Southgate so it must piss him off when he plays Trent in Midfield when he is clearly one of the best WB's in the world.

Mouthgate's just another FA puppet, pandering to those inept fucksticks above him, had he any balls whatsoever or in fact a clue of what is best for Engurland he wouldn't be putting square pegs in round holes just to appease those he has upset in previous selections, he upset Trent by not picking him and then tries to make up for it, but at the same time opting for Walker, just have the f***in balls to tell them,  you two are my wb's it's my decision who plays who doesn't,  instead of sucking cock to make him look good, and there lies the problem, he hasn't a f***in Scooby what his strongest X1 is because he keeps f***in about trying to please every kunt , pathetic really,  pick your strongest and go with it, ffs it's simple,  what was it Shanks said....football is a simple game,  but complicated by idiot's...something like that?

Regarding our dead rubber games that are the two remaining champions league games, we should rest everyone. No point risking injuries. No point at all. If we lose salah inthe next Porto game with a hamstring it could upset our entire season. If we lose with our second string we just carry on as normal.

Klopp pretty much said in after-match comments he would, but the prize-money for winning group games is what the board are after.

Every post on this forum is with hindsight. Something happens, then we respond to it.

We thought he was put on the bench because of choice. Knowing what happened, clearly it wasn't a choice. He's already had a hamstring injury this season, so he has to be used sparingly. But he played with a win already in the bag, had to go off again, and now he's out for "more than 4 weeks". Knowing how slow our players recover, that means Christmas at the earliest. 3 points have already been dropped since, and more are likely.

That is not technically true and you know it. Many many posters have urged hesitancy in players starting a game when not fully fit or coming back from injury over the last decade on this forum.

If you check the pre and live match threads you will see many posts that question the use of certain players, posts that are live situation reactionary and posts with foresight as well.

Come on now, you are flogging a dead horse here, ice skating up a hill or pissing into the wind.

      Either way it is futile.

When you check such threads, you see reactions to line ups, formations, tactics, subs, goals, misses, ref decisions, results, and quotes of same.

The issue is not me, it's whether someone with an injury issue should have played in a game when we were 2 goals ahead at home v 10 men. Call it hindsight if you like, but we know that the answer to that was now a blindingly obvious no.

we have to enjoy every single moment and every single word from him. For those who yearn to have been around the Shankly days then yearn no more. Right down to his distain for politicians to his belief in hard work and sharing the rewards he is a close as we could get. He is the very beating heart of our club.

his words and reaction after the Barca game were just superb . He was like the proudest of Father's who had just seen his boys perform a miracle it was so telling of the man. The running on the pitch was just a moment to remember and proof just how much this team means to him.
