Yes it is. Fair Play in action.

There's no tolerance at all, with handballs by forwards that lead to goals. It is a clear and obvious rule. If people don't like the rules, they can change the rules, not VAR.

Oh they celebrated fine. Runs, hugs, adoring fans, PA announcement, the full works. They were just celebrating a non event.

So Spurs have indeed taken points off City, and we're top of the league. Ok it's 4 months too late, but maybe it will mean something come next May.

I agree with this and I'm getting so tired of these pundits moaning about VAR. From now on you don't fully celebrate a goal until its confirmed by VAR, what exactly is the issue with that? Its exactly the same in Cricket or Tennis with reviews/hawkeye. I think it just adds to the excitement and ensures that you have fair play.

I'm liking Lampard's style of football painful as it is to say it the Chavs are playing some attractive exciting football for a change and he's a likeable enough manager too.

      Good game that.

Leicester really came on well in that second half and surely would have won it had they had a few more minutes at the end.

Well they can rule out finishing top 4 with that defence. They play some nice football at times and Mount looks a player but they have a big problem in that there are very few goals in that team while they look like conceding every game.

I think they get Rudiger back fit will improve them but I think they are the weakest of the "top 6" and if one team is going to drop out to Leicester City or Wolves it will be them.

Change. Fear of change. Especially so with the "football has survived for 100 years" crowd. This is the 21st Century, we now have the resources available to check that  goals are 100% legit, and they are being used. You don't score lucky goals anymore, you score goals that are valid, or else they don't count.

Most pundits predicted City would walk the league yet again, some even forecast City to walk all over Spurs while expecting us to drop points at Southampton. Instead we're top of the league, and there's a glitch in the City system.

Nothing to do with fear of change.

It's taking away one of my favourite parts of the game.

I love errors, be it by refs, players or managers.

It's already started to erode some of the match day enjoyment, for me.

Because players are not robots and there’s a lot of emotion in the game. When you’ve worked for 90 minutes to get that winning goal and finally get it in extra time you cannot expect a player so jusr stand there waiting for a replay. VAR is going to hurt the passion that exists in the game and make it feel robotic like the nfl.

And your cricket/tennis analogy goes to show how disconnected you are with the sport. They are completely different and yet you still think they merit comparison. Can’t make this stiff up.

One slight issue with that, is that they don't have 3 points atm.

Nobody suggested he should wait. If he wants to run around pitches celebrating ghost goals, let him. VAR doesn't recognise emotion or passion, it simply spots things that refs can't/don't and has them acted upon.

Under the current laws of the game, theres no ifs, buts, or maybes, that effort must be disallowed, VAR or no VAR. Fortunately in our league, if the ref on the pitch can't spot it, the VAR will.

As he did, we are top of the league as a result of it. :)

      Stunning equaliser from Neves

F**k knows why United switched penalty takers to Pogba after that but I'm not complaining!

Don't give a toss mate, you should have clicked onto the fact that the point was getting at United not winning!!!!

So guessing VAR doesn't care about Pogba diving to win a penalty, didn't even check it and not even a mention of it.

I might be wrong here, but I'm struggling to think when the last time the 100% records fell so quickly. After 2 games in, only 2 teams so far have a maximum 6 points and even by the end of week 3, at least one of them 100% starts will have fallen...hopefully Arsenals!

It was checked. But after seeing the incident, the VAR had no decision to make.

Wolves still don't have 3 points, but we are still top of the league.
