I think there was a point last season where City were about to give up hope and then we started to draw games and keep them back in it.

We have to keep that gap growing and of course the United game is one they will hope catches us out.

If we can avoid defeats against them then it's a big gap for them to bridge. If they do us home and away then the gap is smaller.

Let's not forget we have 3 teams who want to take points of us more than anything in this division in themselves, United and Everton. Those other 2 clubs are more than happy for City to beat them.

Regardless, we cant do any more than what we have done so far.

I think Kompany is a bit of a loss for City. Not on the field but around the place I can imagine he was the top dog there. Setting standards and commanding the respect of the dressing room.

City have great players, but not what I would call big characters. At Liverpool I can think of 5 or 6 potential captains and a few more developing that way. That must help to keep standards where they need to be.

I think that is nail on the head, Citeh might have a few more top players than us but we have the better team spirit and that goes a long way in sport, its the difference between playing badly and losing or winning

Still one of the best football documentaries I've seen. Wonderful insight into two extraordinary players.

The City line up is bizarre. A back 3 of Mendy, Fernandinho and Cancelo with Rodri and Gundogan as DM. Aguero on the bench and Otamendi left out altogether. Actually the fact him and Walker are left out completely when they are already short on numbers shows just how bad they’ve been.

Don’t want to tempt fate but I think Palace get something from this game.

I never understand that saying because if I had the lottery numbers then why would I give them out...

On topic though, Palace have had their chances to get in behind the City defence but a distinct lack in quality to play a simple pass for Palace meant the chances went....Ayew in particular. Chances were there for Palace to get through so against better opponents, City could have been found out like they were vs Wolves. Apart from a 90 second blitz, they’ve been quite solid defensively.

Palace quite unlucky at the end not to score. That useless sack of potatoes Benteke hit the bar with his first touch, Zaha denied by a good save and then Ayew skies the follow up from a few yards out.

The chances were there for City to concede yet again.

I must say - the league quality this year looks poor.

Arsenal look f**king awful, Emery has literally done nothing good

Leno, Chambers, Luiz, Guendouzi, Sokratis are all mid table players at best. As for Pepe and Ceballos, wow talk about good swerve for anyone linked with them, they are shocking too.
Other than Lacazette on a good day and Auba, there is very little quality in that team. The amount of half time subs that clown Emery makes is ridiculous, must only be the odd game it doesn’t happen. How can someone in their second season have absolutely no idea what line up and set up to play with!

Yeah that was a pretty decent win for us on a day when we were below par.
