City 2-1 up now considering Chelsea have looked the better team.

Silly mistakes though from Chelsea are costing them.

Similar game to when Chelsea played United on the opening weekend, lot of nice football but sloppy at the back.

It was an entertaining match to watch though would of been nice if Chelsea could found a equalising goal

Chelsea started really well, unlucky to have gone 2-1 down, a deflected goal from KDB, then a good run and hit from Mahrez.
But then they did nothin really 2nd half, planky Abraham up front didn't get a sniff.
Didn't think City were all that great, but created more chances and did enough to get the 3 points.
Would've preferred a draw, but at least that'll keep the Chavs fans quiet for a while, bubble nicely burst.

Pretty entertaining first half. Chelsea on top of the world at 1-0, playing it around confidently and then one shoddy pass from Jorginho (I think) and bang, it's 1-1. Bubble burst and then it's another one for City. Match lost. City clearly showed greater wisdom and experience in that time.

Chelsea could so easily have got some kind of result here had they shown a bit more experience and awareness. Far too many individual errors and it somewhat reminds me of our defeat to City back on Boxing Day in 2013 which we lost 2-1 (the winning goal coming from an inexplicably dire piece of goalkeeping from Mignolet - I recall a fairly tame shot at 2mph reducing his attempt of a palm to a pitiful flop of the hand).

Both sides exposing many holes in each others defences. The subbing of Abraham for Batuayshi pretty much killed any chance of an equaliser for Chelsea. To say Batuayshi was poor when he came on would be an understatement!

I've got to say though, the second half was scrappy and poor from both teams. Thought the potential was there for a thriller but it fizzled away with an impotent second half with misplaced balls all over the shop that was then topped off with a dire bit of goalkeeping from Kepa. Both teams need to play to a higher level if they are to win the league.

Oh yeah, and Pep seems to have a problem keeping his players fit. Silva, Rodri and Aguero all subbed off for injuries.

Yeah pretty disappointed 2nd half after the first half hour - and though Citeh could have had more goals, they still look like they can be got at at the back. Mendy is strong, but can see why Pep has doubts, he's a bit unpredictable, and they lack height and pace at CB - didn't think Chelsea put them under enough pressure there though, with Tammy quiet and yeah, Batuayshi doing absolutely nothing when he came on.
Looks like Aquero might have done his groin, so that'd be a big loss for them.

Just looking ahead and don't see Leicester dropping any points until the 22nd of December when we take all 3 off them to go 11 points clear of them at the Top!

The game i fear the most ... the timing of it is also what concerns me, right after the CWC.

It will be just as busy a time for Leicester and they have a smaller squad. It will be a tough game though, we will need our forward line firing on all cylinders as Leicester have the best defence in the league, which is quite astonishing for a Brendan Rodgers team!!

Citeh playing badly but the toon attack is so sh*te, if you are going to play counter attack then you have to be able to break quickly and in numbers.
I expect citeh to come out and blitz Newcastle second half but hopefully Newcastle can hang in there and pinch a goal.
