Harvey Elliott Player Thread (M)

Confused as to his lack of minutes. Had a good pre season.

He was poor against Utd and poor against Las Palmas I thought.

Arne answered this question in his Utd presser that unfortunately Dom is ahead of him currently, it's been 3 games and since the 2nd half at Ipswich he's not rotated and used squad players very sparingly.

Won all 3, no injuries/suspensions or midweek games so there's no real need for him right now.

Endo Quansah Jones Gomez Darwin and Harvey are all in the same boat.

Slot doesn’t play two 8-10s unfortunately so if Szobo is first choice Elliott and Jones will be backup. Things get busy after the break so hopefully Elliott will get more minutes then.

Felt we had an opportunity today to give him 10/12 mins....would hate to think the lads confidence would get knocked

Jürgen would often make substitutions in midfield but Slot appears to make more changes in the forwards and FBs.

Of the 5 subs, Slot would sooner take off the front 3 and fullbacks.

He can't play everybody though can he, I'm sure Harvey will get his chance as the games come thick and fast as the season wears on.

Shame for him.

That Chiesa signing looking ever more astute now as this could be the pathway for him to get in the side if Salah is going to be undroppable. Prefer to see him on the wing but here's hoping he gets his chance in the next couple months in the #10.

The rumour I heard was right then big blow carabou and Europe chance for minutes for him . International break will help with some.of the weeks

Geez. I was only saying to my dad last night bar quansah weve managed to get through 3 games without picking up an injury which by our standards is amazing. Oh well.

So 2 days training with England u21s and he comes back with a fractured foot? Obviously a "team mate" of his must've done this, so the club should demand a full report from the FA cu*ts and 50m compensation.

Harvey is a tough kid who deals with injury well. He will work hard and won't get to down.

Don't understand bajcetic going on loan, he was good enough  season before last? Now all these games with Jones who can t stay fit, we always F**k about with this, yet all teams get injuries in this league. Endo doesn't suit his style, we end up with four forwards on pitch

And this is what most of us feared and were asking for a midfield player to buy

Us being cheap and not using the window could harm us a lot

We are a Curtis jones or grav injury away from being left with no cover to rest players
