Literally definition of a player that doesn't quite fit init midfield or attack.

I think Slot will let him go in the summer. He's not his cup of tea

Which is strange because pre season and at the start it looked like Slot was going to give him a big role this season

I think that he'll probably stay for a least 1 more season. Elliot appears to be most suited to the attacking midfielder role with Szoboszlai, Jones and possibly McAllister ahead of him.
We have other priorities the focus on in the summer, LB, DM and CB need strengthening; also RB if Trent leaves. CF might also be an area to upgrade. We will probably also have Kelleher leaving. That's potentially a lot of player turnover. I think that Elliot could probably stay, he's made it clear he's a Liverpool fan and wants to fight for a place in the team/squad.

But, if we need to raise funds Slot and Hughes might be happy to sell him.

Went out before the 2nd half kicked off and I've only just seen their goal.

He would be well advised not to do that again.

Talented, but I've always said this:

I just don't know what he is or where he should play.

On the bench to come on for Mac when we need to push for a goal.

He's a West Ham/Crystal Palace level player at best....he'll be gone in the summer and he'll be one of those jobbing players you see at the lower end of the league. Football has always had youngsters who show massive potential only to struggle to sustain it at the highest level.

There were times yesterday he received the ball in space and just played it backwards...that's a mentality thing.

This Club should never have players who are bench warmers....All players need to be good enough to play 90 minutes.

      Can't disagree mate.

Seems like a good lad  and loves the club but won't lose sleep if he isn't here next season.

You really think a squad can be 20 plus players all that are the same high quality ?

A squad needs back up squad players - every single team has players that are back up and mainly sit on the bench during the season

Of course I'm not suggesting all the players are at the same high level...we're not Real Madrid. BUT the elite, going for the title clubs have players who when called on can consistently do a job...and in time will make the first 11...this lad isn't good enough IMO

And Elliot has shown over the last 3 seasons he can be someone that can be called upon consistently

Elliot is 22 and played close to 140 games for the club and under two different managers

He can certainly seem like a bit of a square peg in a round hole at times, but he has contributed a good deal in the past and he is only 22 years old. I think he's worth giving some time. I certainly feel better when he's coming on vs. Curtis.

As I say I haven't seen any progression in his game at all....as for the Curtis comparison...thats like saying you'd rather stand in cat sh*t rather than dogs*t.

Yes most people would say that.....ignoring the fact it could be a very very big cat and a very small dog...A mini Schnauzer say...
of course the point is better not stepping in either.

Harvey stood right in front of us back in December, and the kids a unit, he put on some real solid weight the right way. But, it's seems to me to have come at a cost. He was never all that fast, and he seems to be slower now.

I get not wanting to be pushed off the ball, and it happen quite often. But he seems to have have even less agility and a bit of an akward player when running with the ball. He has the mind but really lacks the physical tools. Not his fault, but also doesn't seem to fit what we do.
