The news he’ll come back this season is amazing. Definitely a lot better than I thought given how severe the injury looked. It was so bad looking that I thought it could be career-threatening.

I'm not sure if it wasn't a red mate. I don't like lunging tackles from behind. The player with the ball has no idea what's coming and unless it's timed perfectly can cause serious damage like with Harvey. There was no malice in the challenge at all but it's still a dangerous one. It's a tricky one for sure.

For sure mate, studs up from behind says it all!
Red all day he can protest all he likes, the same illegal tackle has caused career ending injuries.

If Elliot wasn’t injured the player wouldn’t have been sent off imo

An identical tackles occcured 15 mins later and nothing.

I don’t think the tackle was a red card one but the consequences of the tackle made the mind up

Elliott seems to think it wasn’t a red card as well

Honestly, I don't care if he manages to play again this season or not....  I'm just happy for him that it isn't as bad as first thought.  When I saw it happen (his leg just wobbling around like a piece of rubber) I thought it was a double leg break for sure.  It looked so similar to the Djibril Cisse and Aaron Ramsey injuries -- neither of those 2 ever really looked the same after those injuries, so it is great news for Harvey that this looks far less severe.  Hopefully this doesn't impact his career trajectory as I think this kid has it all to be one of the best in the world.

Elliott is done for the season. Do not believe what they say, they sugarcoat injuries heavily. They also said that VVD could come back in March and then he was not even in the Euro a couple of months later.

Tackle from behind with both feet off the ground.
It shouldn't take an injury for that to be a red card.

I don’t think the tackle is as black and white as that - it’s a tackle you see in every game . VVD does it perfectly

He commiserated with Pascal Struijk for not getting the red rescinded, saying he didn't think it was a red. Generous of him, knowing the player will feel terrible over the injury.

Expert info on the lad's injury and future implication.
General view is if and when he gets back this season Klopp and Co will take it gently looking to next season when he should be 100% and able to recapture the brilliance of pre-injury performance.

just seen him on SKY working out in the pool looking like he is making good progress. He is young so his recovery will be quicker. Still hope for him this season.

Considering his injury that is amazing to see , he won’t be rushed back though , he will only get near it when the medics and conditioning guys have done their stuff , certainly back running quicker than I thought he would be .

Think to be honest it’s not much to do with his age but more to do with how quick the medical team reacted, highlighted by Mo and allowed by the ref I heard they had his ankle back in the joint in under ten seconds which has played the main part in this quick recovery

Has it been out longer the swelling would have been a lot bigger which would have put back the surgery. He went under the knife 48 hours after the dislocation which again is down to simply how quick everyone reacted to it

Can’t wait to see the lad back, saw some images of him kicking a ball lightly today too which is a good sign.
Couple of months now and he could be back in competitive action

of course his age helps he isnt fully grown yet his recovery will be much quicker than someone twice his age.

We aren’t comparing him with someone twice his age, that’s irrelevant

The medics and how quickly he was sorted is more to do with it than his age

      That’s not questionable mate
