I wasn't sure when we signed him. Even if the talent and vision was obvious I saw the lack of pace, the slender build and a weakish shot and was doubtful he could make it in the PL. It's now clear we have an amazing player here and we have so much to look forward to. To see such self belief and charisma in such a young man is so unusual.

Welcome back and whatā€™s ripper goal as well.

Loved his post match interviewā€¦.so down to earth!

Love that he brings that left foot into our midfield. Lad has an eye for a pass.

Once again, did really well when he came in. Could we see him get a start against Burnley?

      I think heā€™s F***ing brilliant Iā€™ll be honest

But would I start him against Burnley? And the way they play? Probably not, donā€™t forget when we played Burnley at the beginning of the season they ā€œtargetedā€ him for some proper rough treatment, and maybe that is too early in his comeback for more of the same

Before the game, that's the exact midfield I wanted to start but as the game on, it was obvious he had to come off for Hendo.

Fab was the surprise coming off for me, but getting back to Harvey....maybe right at this moment in his career, he may serve us best as an impact sub?

That's my thoughts. Comes on against oppositions tired legs and runs rings around them with his clever feet and passing ability.

Thought Elliot was out his depth, Jota we now no why he went off but Fab baffled me somewhat, thought VD was good but Konte was outstanding

Fabinho dropped a bit in the second half and the midfield looked flat

Henderson and Keita coming on changed the dynamic of the midfield without losing the protection

As for Elliot - he had a tidy no thrills game , was popping up all over the place , just playing it simple without being spectacular

He didnā€™t look out of his depth at all, he just looked like he was playing a bit reserved like he was lacking a bit of confidence which was probably down to nerves and that was always going to be the case, especially on his first CL game and so soon after his injury. As the game went on in the first half he got more involved. 2nd half up until he went off wasnā€™t the best 15mins for him but at the same time in those 15mins Trent was having a complete mare and made it harder for young Harvey on that side and took a bollocking from Virgil as a result. All  in all it wasnā€™t a bad game for him, grew into the first half, very nearly created a perfect scoring opportunity for Salah and didnā€™t shy away on his defensive duties and covered for Trent going walkabout best he could.

The first 15mins of the 2nd half our problems were largely being caused by Trent being in his own world. The subs coming on just settled things down and gave the likes of Trent a chance to regroup and settle.

Quite literally our fan on the pitch.

Should have a banner on the kop on Wednesday night "Here's our observations, FA go F**k yourselves"

Absolutely pathetic from the FA to get involved. But it's par for the course, I guess...

+1 At the beginning of the season he was a starter. My hope: Klopp has good alternatives and gives Elliott time to heal out.

This is a huge year for Harvey. After last years setback Iā€™m expecting big things if he gets back in the groove early doors.
