Things that will happen this season

Here is my list of things I see happening during this season.

Liverpool will win 3 trophies in 7 competitions.

Shaquri will score double digit goals in all competitions.

Fabinho will take over as chief penalty taker before seasons end.

Gini will get displaced from the conventional starting 11

Robertson will score more than 1 goal this season.

Kieta will show us he isn't Harry Kewell. Look for a great season from him.

Mane will win the golden boot (outwright)

Brewster will score over 5 goals in the EPL

One of those trophies we win will be the league. Liverpools draught ends at 30

Leave me yours aswell.

Sadly I think you are right about the injury, its why I've been banging on about getting another forward signed BUT I'm starting to think that Klopp must have a hell of a lot more faith in Origi and Brewster than I have and I almost always trust Klopp in this regard, he has a fabulous eye for talent.

So I think one of top three out for 3rd of season but Origi and/or Brewster to really step up to the plate and have an outstanding season and help us win the league along with the Supercup and World club Cup.

Only 1 sure thing, LFC will play some football games in 7 competitions.

I think we will carry on the same as last year, being very hard to beat and consistent. I have a feeling Citeh's wheels may fall off at some point and we'll win the league.

Also think we could win the league cup as our youngsters will be raring to go.

Slow start, strong finish. 

Hopefully winning the Club World Cup at the fourth attempt a couple of days before Christmas.

My three things I think will happen

- Naby Ketia hits double digits in goals in all competition

- We make it to one domestic cup final

- We will won't go above 90 points in the league

- We will get around the 90 point mark
- Henderson will score around 5 goals
- Keita will push to be a regular starter
- Allison will get 1 assist
- Robertson will start to get on the scoresheet
- Bobby will score at least 3 no look goals
- VvD will score a long range screamer
- Full on knee slide from Klopp at some stage
- Brewster will overtake Origi in the pecking line up top

Not sure if this is the right thread, but as this is new to the rules, thought I'd ask what you all think of this regarding the defensive wall for free kicks. From This is Anfield:

"The defensive wall setup for a free-kick has thrown up a number of interesting strategies and tussles over the years, but that is now a thing of the past.

From this point onwards when the defensive team sets up a wall that has three or more players, the attacking team are prohibited from being within one metre of the wall.

If the referee deems that the attacking team has encroached on the space, then the offence will be penalised with an indirect free-kick."

I've long thought too much attention was placed on this by attacking teams that might have been better served with more players in other places, looking for a rebound or a whipped ball to head in.

Do you think we'll see less effective free kicks now?

One thing to go with this, I feel like referees (in the Premier League at least) are increasingly lax at supporting the required distance between the ball and the defensive players on these free kicks. Would like to see that enforced more rigorously to get more skill back in the game.

One thing to go with this, I feel like referees (in the Premier League at least) are increasingly lax at supporting the required distance between the ball and the defensive players on these free kicks. Would like to see that enforced more rigorously to get more skill back in the game.

I'd like to see the law changed so that the defensive wall can't charge at the kicker until the ball has been struck, but removing attacking players from the wall is a good move.

With defenders now being allowed in the box on goal kicks, can see many goals conceded through teams tying to play out from the back and getting caught. Arsenal last season were pushing their luck every week as it was.

I read recently that a team got around this by standing 1 metre in front of the wall.

Think it says all attackers have to be 4 meters away, so not sure how.
