Hard to cost us a goal watching from the sidelines........

Don't start kissing Mignolet's arse now, he fu**ed up enough during his six years here, you'd probably run out of fingers counting up his mistakes.

I doubt he’d cost us anywhere near the amount of goals Mignolet did.

Well if that's all his replacement will cost us after the 6 season sh*t show that was Mignolet then happy days.

This is brilliant news another liability goes.  The biggest 2 weaknesses in our back both go in this window.  I would dread when one of them were on the pitch but both on the pitch were a catastrophe.   He had to take a step down and finally managed to realize that the top leagues were just not interested in him.  Good luck no hard feeling just not good enough.

Best thing to say for Simon is that apparently he was not a boat rocker over the past season, so at least there's that.

Like rossyred, I would expect we already have something in the works. Perhaps well actually be buying a veteran player, to give the transfer-obsessed among us something to salivate over.

I'm not all that interested as long as the words "Karius" and "loan terminated" are not part of the pending business.

I wish him luck but glad he's gone.

Let's be honest, here. Not constructive, at all, I know, but he's F***ing sh*te.

As succinct as ever WAHS :D

Remains the only keeper I’ve seen to ever be punished by the ref for holding onto the ball for too long. Absolute garbage

Kelleher should be enough to cover Alisson.

He was a sh*t keeper for us, but he always seemed like a good pro, not moaning and whinging and kicking up a fuss.

I have no idea what the level of keeping is in Belgium but if Simon is the answer then its the wrong question being asked ;-)

This is another really poor decision.

After a strong showing in the preseason, it is crazy to let him go. He's been a good solid backup keeper who remained professional and supportive throughout.

I won't let the ignorance of some fans spoil the name of another red. I really struggle to see why some here are so desperate to weaken our squad.

      Poor decision?

Ever think it was probably Mignolet's choice to leave as he wants first team football?

He done OK in pre-season. Yes, a few good saves, but yet again he threw one in the net.

Pretty much sums up his Liverpool career.

      What are you on about.

How is his replacement in any way not better?

Good bit of business getting Adrian on a free who is better than Ming. Got to say that he is in the mix for being one of the worst keepers for LFC.

What is it with Liverpool fans these days and the way they speak about players who have only ever tried their best for us - yes he made mistakes but he was key to us a couple years back when we nearly won and Alisson himself said he was massive for him last season so I’ll wish him well with his move and thank him - he gave the club nothing but respect , shame some fans can’t
