Good start, the lads tired 2nd half and a bit of rust still, but we'll be fine.
BTW Norwich have a decent attack

3 points, Klopp won't be happy with defence but that may not be giving Norwich any credit, we'll see how much trouble Norwich give other teams.
It's all about the points for me, we'll improve. I want that trophy on Wednesday.

We've never had it so good (not my generation for sure!). Enjoy it. Miserable cu*ts will be miserable cu*ts though ;)
4-1! Not a bad way to start the league campaign.

Maybe against a more clinical team, would have been much closer.
As it was, was very comfortable win.
Would have take 4-1 before the game.
Bit surprised at 4-0 up we didn't get 3 lads on and give them more time - but Jürgen has his reasons am sure.
      Good win, good 3 points!

A good first half, disjointed second half. Players probably feeling it to be fair, and it's not as if we weren't 4-0 up.

Though Henderson had a good game; seems to be playing with a load of anger though.

Lost the second half 1-0 and a little disappointed they scored but you can't really argue with the result.

A bit surprised Keita didn't get a look and more surprised Wijnaldum stayed on for the 90.

Great result goes without saying but clearly we are miles off where we need to be when you consider more shots conceded than any home game last season!

Bobby was really good but I voted for Mo. Even at half speed he scores one and assists another. Our soon to be three-season-wonder ;)

Diego, i'm one of your miserable cu*ts, because I've been waiting 30 years for No 19. almost as long as you've been alive. I'm worried we don't F**k up when it looks like our best opportunity for many a year. Thats all Mate. Still right behind the reds and always will be.

Pleased with the win.  Worried about the defending.  Can't give Chelsea as much space as we gave Norwich tonight.

Origi's come on leaps and bounds over the past 12 months.  Can see him getting a lot more game time this season.

      Fingers crossed on Alisson.

Not a bad way to start the season.

Big drop off in the second half though with questionable defending at times which I'm putting down to rustyness.

Origi looking more like the player we want him to be with Firmino and Salah looking like they've never really been away.

Good win that even if it was very very open at both ends. Felt more like Klopp's Liverpool from two years ago than the last year or so. Bad news for Allison - here's hoping for a swift recovery.

Decent enough performance apart from the defence. At least three points in the bag, to go top.

Avoided a banana skin.Norwich a typical promoted team determined to show they can play. All well and good but you have to be able to defend.

Good to get the game out the way and get the season fully up and running.Salah & Firmino looked sharpe.Good win.

Robbo and VVD were sound defensively. Joe got caught out of position a few times but grew into the game. Trent is going to be most teams target man. His defending just isn't on par with Robbos (or Gomez). TAA is definitely growing into a terrific player from distance.

Midfield were wide open in the first half but seemed to get lost a couple times in the second. Hendo was the best of the 3 for sure. Fab didn't look good.

Cant say enough about the front 3. Origi ran his ass off today. Definitely can grow into that role and be more than a trusted poacher. Bobby was my MOTM. He is Klopp football personified. He is such a great passer in tight spaces. He was made for Salah. Salah was scary. Movements already look in midseason form. That curler will find the back of the net with consistency very soon.

One of them games where we were bang on it at times and other times far from it, also one of them games where despite getting 4 goals, it's almost left me feeling a bit disappointed because we could and should have had more. I think the score flattered us though and on another day, we don't win with a performance like that. It's worrying how poor we looked defensively and just generally some of the overall play was so sloppy, lack of communication with players running into each other or getting in each others way. When we play a team like Norwich at home, it's not acceptable having to face 10+ shots on goal, it simply shouldn't happen.

I don't know how Gini managed to stay on the pitch again, he was poor vs City and was just as bad today. With Keita and Ox waiting, he wont get away with many more performances like that and keep his place.

The goal they scored, Adrian should have saved it, think he should have gotten down to it quicker but then if Robbo doesn't play Pukki onside then it doesn't happen. Hard to be too harsh on individuals on a goal like that though because it's just little things in it and on the balance of play, it was only a matter of time until they scored - either like that or us gifting a ball to them or something silly. Thought Adrian looked comfortable with the ball at his feet though.

The start of the second half we were blowing them away, they could barely get out of their box and how we didn't score, Bobby in particular, I'm not too sure, especially seeing as in the first half he pulled off a nicely stuck volley whilst doing his usual high flying karate move but completely miss hit a tap in. When it got the the hour mark though, we just fell apart and they were comfortable for the rest of the game, threatening us more than we were them.

Positives though that we created some really good chances and we were very clinical in that first half, it was a clear gulf in quality once we got into our stride. But with a mixed pre-season due to players getting back so late, it's not surprising there are some sloppy bits of play at the moment.

But we are top of the league and we've got a win when on another day, it could easily have been a draw or defeat.

Biggest disappointment is the injury to Alisson, that's the last thing we needed. He started the game a bit shaky with a couple of rogue passes but then pulled off some top saves and was nailing his passes.

A little surprised at some of the criticism Fabinho is getting though, there were large parts of the game where they just couldn't get past him. It wasn't a standout performance from him but it certainly wasn't a bad one.

Mixed performance but the 3 points and the 4 goals is what will have the bigger say on our season.
