Don't think there'll be wholesale changes, a few knocks here and there will determine who plays or not,
Player's are a lot fitter now than days gone by,and have their own fitness regime's for close season, so they are more or less good to go after pre season and a match or two, some rustiness may still feature for some, Ox in particular,.....

      .....                      Adrian
               Trent Matip VvD Robertson
                                Fabinho
                       Hendo             Gini
                     Salah Firmino Mane

Can't afford to drop any points at all, that's the standard set from last season,  assuming City win V Spuds we have to match them at the least,
Dropping points this early only gives added impetus to them slimey kunts from Eastlands , not forgetting the w*nk fest from the pro Manchester media, and ends with extra pressure on us playing catch up,
So it's win win win all season long and keep the pressure on Pep et al.

1-2 to The most successful club in British Footballing history....FACT !!

Feel this is a game the Reds should win, even after the 120 minute final against the chavs. Going for a 2  1 score line for Klopp's champions.

Sorry, it has to be in STYLE. No two ways about it. Or we will be left behind by Man City. I'm so afraid I'm shitting in my pants...

Awww... that should hurt. To think I've been setting high standards as a fan, demanding perfection from the team. ;D...

In hindsight you're probably right... in going for the England job, Sven Eriksen asked Bobby Robson about taking up the job as a foreigner. Bobby Robson said the key is W-I-N win. If you do that, no one will object.

Why does it have to be in “style” - you don’t get any extra points , right now all that matters is getting three points whilst all the players get to full fitness

For this game it's a question of getting the win any way possible. Going to be a very tough turnaround I feel.

Some new manager was asked if he had a 5-year plan and replied "the 5-year plan is to win games or get the sack."

After struggling to defeat Chelsea Wednesday, I reckon Jürgen is in jeopardy if we don't absolutely maul Saints tomorrow.

Negative I know, but given the circumstances a point here wouldn't be terrible.

Disagree mate, it was drawing games against this calibre of team that handed City the advantage last season, nothing other than a win is acceptable and let’s be honest, even our rotated team should be winning this match.

Hopefully we play better than we did against them last time. But saying that, as long as the points outcome is the same then that’s the main thing!

Wouldn't mind seeing something along those lines:

      - Chamberlain back in his preferred position
      - Wijnaldum can cover a game at #6 after both Fabinho and Henderson looked knackered plus Milner had a knock on his knee
      - Trent and Firmino both started on the bench so should be fresh
      - Robertson and Mane were taken off early, they should be good to go
      - Salah probably taken off for Origi depending on the scoreline

If we need to score a late goal, can bring on Shaqiri / Henderson, if we need to consolidate a lead, can bring on Henderson / Fabinho.

Saints looked sh*te against Burnley, we'll be fine.

This is something I'm hoping to see. Our midfield on too many occasions can become stale...if that makes sense, very predictable too. We need Ox to start really kicking on with his come back and that isn't going to happen playing him out of position, get him in his best position and take the shackles off. For as good as Ox can be, versatility isn't his strong point because he will go missing and doesn't influence a game if he's out of position, it was his biggest downfall at Arsenal, being played out of position, so I don't know why we would consider making the same mistake. Plus, he'd love to dominate the game against his former team.

May be our freshest option overall, save Origi in for Salah, which again might not be needed. I wouldn't mind seeing Ox straight back out there, but in midfield.

I would play like that. Maybe AOC instead of Lallana. We need fresh legs.

I think that will be the team mate.

I think so too mate but he still looks well short of his best form so I think Klopp will use him off the bench and in a he league cup until he can reach his top level or thereabouts. I’d be surprised if he gets the start today.

Streaming will be the only option due to the archaic UK laws.
