Was just wondering if any of you had experienced this price hike in the U.K.
I’m fairly lucky in the sense I have a fixed tariff until June 2022 but just compared what the rates are now and my bill is estimated to go up from £130 per month to £240!!

I think a lot of families are going to struggle if something doesn’t change soon.

Has anybody seen first hand what the price difference is like? Any changes or tips they have etc?

I know a lot of the smaller, cheaper companies have gone bust as well...

      Not looking good.

Won't be just utilities. National Insurance hike on the way too.

Already seeing stories of the elder generation suffering. And all we hear about from those in power is about levelling up bullshit. More f**king lies.

I'll disagree you with you over Afcon ;) but you're spot on here Bob a lot of people are going to suffer just so those fatcats can get even richer.

National insurance hike? Is that that nhs tax thing or something else?
The elderly also have to pay for the tv license now I think....
if mortgage rates go up as well I can see a whole range of folk struggling to keep payments.

With British Gas electric only for my business…

      Had a 1 year fixed deal & monthly bill was £80 pcm…

August last year was sent out a few Tariff offers & went to sign up & was refused point blank, could offer the rates as wholesale prices went up…

So on a variable tariff… Nov-Dec bill was £240… still on a variable..
