Seeing the COP26 coverage from Glasgow and I must say, we really are blessed to live in a world with David Attenborough. He can communicate, engage and get to people that the eco protest lot cannot.

Absolutely FMS, he's a wonderful man and I have every respect for him.

Boris Johnson, Owen Paterson, Jacob Rees Mogg, Conservative sleaze...oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. It's these sort of shenanigans which will topple Johnson. Vintage Tory sleaze - straight out of their greatest hits! Humiliating stuff for the Tory Party! In the long term, it will topple the Conservatives.

      What a horrible crime.
And what pain he has done to the victims families and his own. I read he was married, not sure about kids, but can you imagine having a husband/father who was not only a murderer, but someone who had sex with corpses.

Yeah and still better than the sack of sh*t that came before and after. As for bank bailouts - Brown had no other choice!! The banking sector in Britain is and always has been too massive to allow the sort of 'do what Iceland did' arguments!

Aside from the fact that their tenure saw thousands of new doctors and nurses on the NHS, reduced waiting times, elimination of pensioner poverty, reduced child poverty, devolution, the NI peace process, a Tory deficit that was turned into a surplus, Bank of England independence, liberalised home office and immigration rules, regeneration of ex industrial heartland cities like Glasgow (and Liverpool)... what did that version of Labour ever do for us?

£21 billion on a failed app. Stinks of backhanders and pockets being filled.

The education secretary voted no to less priviliged kids having meals at home. The f**king education secretary. The one person that you're meant to bank on voting yes. That's how much they care.

They're so out of touch with Joe public it's unreal.

Our Prime Minister is a racist and gave his bit on the side a £120k grant which has gone unquestioned.

Some sh*t gone down at the Women's Hospital today:

Liverpool Women's Hospital: One dead in car explosion outside hospital

One person has died and another has been injured in a car explosion and fire outside a hospital in Liverpool.

Merseyside Police said there were reports of an explosion after a taxi pulled up at Liverpool Women's Hospital just before 11:00 GMT.

A spokeswoman said it "has not been declared a terrorist incident" but counterterrorism detectives were leading the inquiry "out of caution".

She added it "could take some time" before they could confirm details.

The injured man is being treated in hospital and is not in a life-threatening condition, police said.

Kathryn Thomson, chief executive of Liverpool Women's Hospital, said staff were restricting patient access to the hospital "with immediate effect" but allowing emergency ambulances.

"Where possible, we have diverted patients to other hospitals until further notice," she added.

"We are reviewing our patient activity for the next 24-48 hours and patients should wait to be contacted for updates about any planned appointments or other attendance at the hospital."

Liverpool mayor Joanna Anderson tweeted that the car fire, which has since been extinguished, was "unsettling and upsetting and my thoughts are with those affected".

"I'd like to thank the emergency services for their swift response and for bringing calm to the situation," she added.

A bomb disposal unit and fire engines attended the scene, which has been cordoned off.

Liverpool Women's Hospital, which featured in the popular Channel 4 series One Born Every Minute, receives about 50,000 patients annually and is the largest hospital in its specialism in Europe.

Good to see the cab driver has made it out relatively unscathed although I'm not sure how much he knew about there being an explosive device if he was driving the fella right to the door of a maternity hospital entrance.

Heard the talk that the passenger was trying to get the taxi to go to the Rememberance parade going on and he pulled in to try and get  the call to the authorities

And the plastic covid barrier helped keep him safer

Think the police said he had asked the taxi to go to the hospital when it picked him up. Good shout on the covid barrier though if true. Hadn't thought about that!
