What’s the deal with air max and Liverpool? Last time I was there I was denied entry to one of the bars in concert square because of my trainers. When I pointed out that the guy they had just let in was wearing trainers, he pointed to my air max and said “not them”.

Got a bit of a reputation of being worn by "scally" types so you'll have trouble getting into bars with them on. Same with any Hugo Boss gear - you can wear a smart £100+ Hugo Boss polo but a lot of bars won't let you in wearing it because they associate Hugo Boss with scallies / trouble causer types

Yeah air max certainly has cult status amongst the scallies  in Liverpool a bit like ‘rockport’when they first launched in the city,I’m an Adidas guy myself so I’ll be sticking with me Gazelle 🤣.

Yeah I'm an Adidas loyalist myself. Don't think I've ever paid over 50 odd quid for a pair of trabs let alone £100+, so I'll be giving the 110's a miss for the foreseeable!

Somebody else used trainers instead of trabs so I was trying to keep it high brow.

As a lad in the early 80’s I was never out of wade smith ( the original gaff on slater street) lad I went to school with had a Saturday job in there so always got a bit of dizzy, got my first pair of samba and trim trab out of there.
The Adidas originals they’ve been re-releasing aren’t a patch on the old school ones,no way I’d be shelling out a ton on a pair of trabs these days.

It’s not just scouse slang for trousers like a lot of people think.
It’s an actual make or manufacturer of trousers called ‘Kecks’ T J Hugh’s in town used to sell them.

Live around the corner from Slater St & they've painted a mural on the wall of (I'm guessing) where the old store used to be. Never remember that one as it was a bit before my time but I do remember the one which was by Sir Thomas St

Not been following it closely but anyone seen any legit leaks yet of the home kit?

Or are we still on the mock ups.

Not seen anything, only the ones of other teams, which are iffy at best.

I guess Nike can't believe their luck, just hope they keep it nice and simple, with no watermark patterns.

I thought I'd seen someone post some thing about the colors, but I don't know that there's been any mockups. We are the best football team in the world right now and probably the most popular. They are going to give us something special I hope.

Like the above kits BUT still hold found memories of the kits from the mid 80’s
The all yellow away kit and the all white kit with the occasional option of the black shorts. Loved those.

These are the closest mockups I've seen to the rumoured colours & styles.
No lightning stripes on any of them, which seems to be on a lot of the Nike kits.

Me: I don't want LFC to use the same template as everyone else.

Also me: Just put an LFC crest on these:

I love the white and teal on the red kit. Reminiscent of one of our older adidas kits if I’m not mistaken.

I wouldn’t have thought I’d like Pink but thinking about Virgil in that black and pink number.....damn.
