You put something on a forum you’re gony get people’s opinions whether you are arsed about them or not. Never said the price was okay, just a bit odd you feeling sorry for people that can’t afford 3 kits for each of their kids.

Just because I’m not arsed whether you agree with me or not isn’t saying I don’t expect you to give your opinion. Whether I agree or disagree is irrelevant, doesn’t mean I’m not interested in seeing what other opinions are.

Not sure why you think it’s case of feeling sorry for anyone, all I was doing was making a couple of different points to say why the increase in price isn’t great, to which you’ve for some reason appear to have taken real issue with.

Not sure why you’re making it into such a big deal yet failed to say whether you agree or disagree with the significant increase in price and actually contributed something worthwhile to explain your reasoning, which was my original point before you cherry picked part of my post and ignored the rest.

Got my lad the kit this morning, his birthday is the 18th so the new launch always drops well for that.

Was surprised at the price increase during this time truth be told but it is what it is.

Never understand why they make them in adult sizes like.

In terms of shirt prices it will probably push a lot more people into the foreign / knock off market. Some of these fakes are indistinguishable from the replicas now and cost about 1/4 of the price.

I ordered jerseys off one of those sites for my mens hockey team and saw the site had 18/19 UCL final kit for $20 Canadian (11.5 quid) so I bought one just to have in my man cave for decor I was quite impressed with quality for knock off. It would make me think if I was a supporter who purchased kits year to year would go the knockoff route

I think it’s because the kits were generally around £40-50, this years kit is a significant increase in price and whilst I understand your point completely, it’s not ideal for people who perhaps struggle for money or have kits to buy for each of their kids etc.

Nike were always going to sell a lot more of our shirts than NB, especially with the likes of Lebron James helping to push it. IMO we would have still have made a sh*t tonne of money off this kit deal so it doesn’t justify the significant increase in price.

Especially when you take into account people that will want to have the home, away and the 3rd top too, that’s £210 worth of shirts for one person alone.

People with say 2 children, £50 a top, that’s £300 to get both kids all 3 tops.

With lots of people struggling or seeing a significant reduction to their income this year, if anything it could hamper the number of sales by hiking up the price.

I’m sure the owners are financially sound enough to have been able to contribute to transfer funds etc with the prices kept at what they previously were.

I loved this year's NB kit, reminded me of the pin stripe kit from back in the day, I bought myself and my grandson one which we've both worn with pride this season and watched many a game with them on  ;D mine cost about £50, which was more than enough, I will not be buying the new Nike one, basically paying £20 extra for a tick, no thank you, although I have already promised to buy one for Keegan, but I'll do without as I can't afford two  :-\

As far as the  prices go, it just fits in with the trends for the business of sport. Increasingly the regular person is priced out of following his team except from a distance. Merchandise is more expensive, match tickets are often through the roof and even following via media is getting more difficult for the mid to low income person.

I understand the clubs have to monetize fan interest and it won't stop so long as there is a critical mass of supporters able to pay, but as someone who increasingly finds himself on the wrong end of the economic divide, I fear it won't be long until my ability to really support the club is marginalized.

Kids kits should be free & the adult shirts should be £5000 a pop. If 40 year old men want to squeeze their beer guts into the top and pretend that they're Gerrard that's fine but they should then have to subsidize the kids IMO

Haha! And not show off all that beer muscle  :food-smiley-005:

Quick note to anyone who's thinking of buying the new home shirt:

Consider going a size up. Whilst the body is TTS, it fits pretty tight around the shoulders.

I'm 6' 6", skinny as fook, usually wear a size L and I had to send back and replace with an XL.

Oh, and it looks way better in person. I don't know why all the pics online show it to be so bright in colour.

Looks like the new dude is trying to find a new shirt sleeve sponsor. Western Union deal isn't lucrative enough for English, European, and World champions. Were only getting 5mil while United and Chelsea are over 10. Im waiting to order my shirt until I see who we get

I'm intirgued to see if Nike use Lebron James in any future promotions of Liverpool Fc. I remember that was one of the reasons why the New Balance deal could be opted out of, as they couldnt match Nikes marketing reach.

Think I'm just going to buy the pre match shirt which is really nice.  The £70 shirt isn't worth it because the £100 shirt is much better. But sorry I just really cant afford £100 for one shirt to play football and exercise in unfortunately.

Not too bad that one. 50 quid cheaper than the vapor home as well. Quite like all the LFC touches on it as well.

      Assume you mean this one.

That's exactly the one. A guy came into the gym wearing it last night and it looks even better in real life.  The long sleeved training top is also awesome looking but just a little too much considering I already have 3 NB ones haha
