Oh my word, that's so fake it's probably a fake of a fake.

That's a fake put together from at least two Liverpool kits I can remember. The V neck from the 86 kit and the design from the 1990 kit.

Nike are creating a lot of "heritage" 90s throwback stuff at the moment, which feature the swoosh and the word Nike.

It's on a number of footy shirts this season - the black Chelsea away strip for instance, and off the top of my head I think some of the PSG strips have that logo too.

I actually wouldn't be massively surprised if that's legit...

They're mostly away shirts, home shirts usually just have the nike swoosh logo.

LFC announces multi-year partnership with Nike as official kit supplier from 2020-21

Liverpool Football Club is delighted to announce Nike, the world's leading footwear and apparel company, as its official kit supplier from the 2020-21 season.

The multi-year partnership, which begins on June 1, 2020, will see Nike manufacture and supply Liverpool FC’s playing, training and travel wear.

As official kit supplier, the agreement will see Nike outfitting the men’s, women’s and Academy squads, as well as coaching staff and Liverpool FC Foundation.

The partnership coincides with our move into a new, state-of-the-art training facility in Kirkby for the 2020-21 season, a project that includes investment in improved sport facilities for the local community.

Billy Hogan, LFC’s managing director and chief commercial officer, said: “Our iconic kit is a key part of our history and identity. We welcome Nike into the LFC family as our new official kit supplier and expect them to be an incredible partner for the club, both at home and globally as we continue to expand our fanbase.

“As a brand, Nike reflects our ambitions for growth, and we look forward to working with them to bring fans new and exciting products.”

New Balance has been the club’s official kit supplier since 2015 and will continue until the end of the 2019-20 season. “We’d like to thank New Balance for their support over the last few years and wish them well for the future,” added Hogan.

Bert Hoyt, VP, GM Nike EMEA, said: “Liverpool Football Club has such a proud heritage and strong identity. The partnership with Liverpool FC underscores our leadership in global football and with the club’s passionate worldwide fanbase and strong legacy of success, they have a very bright future ahead.

“We look forward to partnering with them to serve players and supporters with Nike innovation and design.”

The club’s partnership with Nike will be effective from June 1, 2020.

20% of royalties on everything but footwear - that could be potentially huge.

Anyone have an idea what we sell worldwide in terms of clothing ?

At some point money will be needed to buy the next Virgil, or Alisson or whoever. Just because we don't spend big every year doesn't mean we never will. Also paying top salaries to help keep top players here is worth as much as big transfer fees, maybe more.

Can’t see it myself mate, but never say never in football, Mbappe would mean colossal wages and I doubt whether FSG would upset the apple cart in that respect, who would he replace upfront ?

Would you sell on say Salah, Bobby or Sadio  to accommodate him, I know I wouldn’t, fantastic player N all but we’re doing just fine without him, one day we will need to replace our brilliant attack, but not just yet, we got three or 4 seasons of titles & CL’s to savour before we need to replace. IMO.

The team will wear the badge for at least the year so expect Nike to have a CL version with the badge on it.
Certainly a better option than buying two of this year's kits for the sake of a badge, even if it's not the kit it was won in.

Question for USA-based Reds. My family tell me that finding LFC gear online is hard to do....?

None of these are football fans but they do shop online a lot. The idea is to save cash by getting something that ships from over here (but official). I know soccer.com but is there something better?

Understand Nike may change the dynamic beginning in summer.

I usually buy from the official store, shipping is fast, usually 2-3 days if you pay express, other than that there is a store called Anfield Shop bases on Seattle that also sells LFC merchandise.

If you go to sites like Amazon, Fanatics, Dick's, etc. don't think there is much LFC stuff there and definitely there isn't anything in physical stores (I've been to a couple NB stores).

Pretty sure with Nike, getting LFC merchandise in the States (and other places too like Latin America where I'm from) and online is going to be much much easier.

For example, in Costa Rica the Adidas and Nike stores sell the jerseys of the teams they sponsor (bigger ones of course) go to a MB store and it's only running stuff that they sell.
