      Bobby Duncan (Liverpool -> Fiorentina)
      Aug 28, 2019 03:56:50 pm

His agent is currently going off on one Live on Twitter.
Attacking Edwards and the club and claiming Duncan has mental health issues caused by the club.

Bit mad having an agent that asks Marcotti for advice on Twitter "asking for a friend" and doesn't
know the difference between loan with option to buy and loan with obligation to buy.

Carra rowing in on it now.

I just read what his agent wrote and just thought what a strage this one, as I don't think Duncan is in Klopp's first team plan this season and look at our players in his position I can see why the lad desperately want out.

Left wigan to go to city. Left city in odd circumstances and was technically unattached when he joined us. His agent is now in full on meltdown mode on twitter after a row with carra and liverpool twiiter digging up some unsavory old tweets. Said before i know quite a few people have commented on bobby's cockiness

His agent is an idiot but looks like he has played his last game for Liverpool. Badly advised but good riddance. Apparently he has had multiple agents/advisors already in his young career.

Mental health is a serious issue and I hope Bobby Duncan will be ok.

But you can't help but feel that agent of his is using it and trivialising it in the process for his own benefit ie to make his own statement immune from attack. His morals are as filthy as the bowels of a London sewer rat.

We had first team players and those on the bench who couldn’t get a sniff of playing time, never heard squeak out of them, got their heads down and moved on..

Yes, I would expect the club management to reach out to the player and help him see how badly his agent has lost the plot. He should be well motivated to keep his head down now and I doubt there is a legit mental health issues suddenly popping up because the agent isn't getting his payday. Too serious and issue for some money-grubber to be throwing around fkr leverage.

his agent of his is a total tw@t and needs to get fired end off.

If Duncan is good enough he will play, if he isn't then he should be patient, work hard and break into the first team or else he can f*ck off.

On the other hand I know this lad is a youngster but he has to take control of his own career. He doesn't want to be associated with babestation girl botherers.

This lad may have just messed up his whole career, somebody needs to sit him down and tell him exactly like it is. He then needs to get rid of his agent, apologise to the Club and work his socks off to prove he deserves a chance. He seems to have already picked up an attitude problem, and no club wants a troublemaker.
Oh, and if what I’m reading about his very small salary is true, then I’d make him go and do an ordinary job for a couple of months, taking home about £150 a week. That may just focus his mind on just how privileged he is. Failing that, get rid!

To much drama around this lad, send him out on a 2 year loan deal to some tough league, like Turkey, if he makes it through that then great if not, tough luck.

Could mean anything. Could be a dig at the club or it could be that he doesn’t want all this drama with his agent and just wants to concentrate on his game.

Be good if clubs could do something about agents. So many of the problems that are caused between clubs and players is because of the agent.
Even if it’s just with youngsters, when they first get an agent if it’s an agent arranged by the club. Trouble is, you get agents like the clown Duncan has who try and bleed money and enhance their own profile by using the player, always worse as well when the player is a relative of a legend.
Obviously wants to be the next Raiola.

They are mostly just pimps. A system change of some type to de-incentivize them getting a percentage of transfer fees would help. For young players, leagues should agree on standard contracts up to a certain young age

It’s in the interest of every club to get something put in place, the amount of money teams would save on agent fees would be astronomical.

Not sure what the lad wanted in fairness. If he was going to make it here surely he knew it would be a slow process with all the big hitters ahead of him?

It will be very difficult for any forward in our youth teams to break into this team. They have 2 options really, work hard and prove yourself or get yourself a move.

I'm sure we would have let him go without all the silly bollocks last week.

      Player got his move.

At this point, it's not worth the trouble on the club's' end. Unfortunate because he might have been good for us and it is likely going to end poorly for him, but we don't need the distraction on any level.

Good luck Bobby. You're going to need it.

I think as soon as you or your agent does anything like this, Klopp will get you gone sooner or later. The great man only wants people that really want to be here, or who are willing to fight for it.

      Good riddance IMO.

We've here before with Tom Ince thinking he has a divine right to be fast tracked into the first team. I think this could go down the same route.

Yep playing for Blackpool......if he's lucky.

Irrespective of what you think about his agent, ultimately, it worked.

      Player got his move.

Yep he did, but given their time again I think Duncan and Saif would probably not go down that route again. The agent in particular will have had better weeks.

Best for all concerned that he’s gone. He was obviously okay with what his agent was saying, and as a club we can do without the hoo-ha! Seems to be a bit of a bighead, I won’t wish him ill, but I won’t wish him luck, although I feel he’s going to need all the luck in the World to succeed in Italy. He may very well live to regret his and his agents actions!

Hardly done himself any favours with his performances in pre-season. Probably expected to smash it then and be put straight with the first team.

Oh well, lost plenty of youngsters before. Not even like he’s going to be getting any first team action at Fiorentina.

Not exactly genius though is it, I'm sure all of us could abuse our boss or company and get fired, which in effect is what happened, just so happens he had some club happy to take a chance on a player with a sh*t attitude and dickhead of an agent, more fool them.

Apparently Klopp’s mind was made up after some training sessions in pre season when Duncan couldn’t impress and by the sounds of it was looking out of his depth. So the club probably told him that he needs to up his game considerably if he’s to have any sort of future with us to which him and his agent have then played the bullying card.

Good chance he’d have played some first team football with us this season in the cups, like the other youngsters. Instead he thought he had already made it and deserved more, now not even Fiorentina U19s want him. A career down in the depths of league 2 awaits him.

      Serves him right.

Ironic really, left us thinking he was better than what he was and should be with the first team. Since leaving he’s barely even got in an U19 team whilst we are fielding a team that would have included him once again this season.

Hope he’s watching our game tonight and regretting his decision.

I know its been said before, but I still think its funny how he left us for opportunities when had he stayed, he would have started in the Carabao Cup and FA Cup. Damn, man. Our youngsters getting headlines for sending us to potential glory, and he's stuck at Sunderland and Fiorentina's youth team.

Was having a look and the most up to date news I can find is James Pearce saying his move to Sunderland was off.

      That was on 31/01/20?

Can't see anything saying the move was done.

such a shame the club has been destroyed by poor owners over many many years. Bob Stokoe  and Jim Montomery beating Leeds in a classic FA Cup final almost another lifetime ago
