First time we've seen Robertson getting past that defender in the build up to that goal.

Still don't understand why the pen wasn't given.

The FA or PL whoever it is, has set the bar to a stupidly high point at which the VAR can intervene.

Unless it is a million % penalty (I only have that down as 900,000) they wont over turn.

Basically speaking they have made the system with their guidelines a total waste of time.

This has to be the worst interpretation of the guidelines I've seen. Penalties should just be penalties and the ref should be going over to the monitor.

I've seen worse than the Matip one go unchanged for other teams this season.

Trying to think how VAR could be made so that clear decisions like that pen are given.... you’ve obviously gotta take the ref in the back room out of the situation... maybe an independent VAR team that HAVE to talk/report on their decisions? Refs are too poor in this country and too protected.

I like how Wijnaldum holds it, but at times in games he needs to do release quicker.

OK, it hasn't cost us, and we've done well; our usual relentless game has done the job so far.

But F**k me, I am gobsmacked that wasn't given.

An early shock but controlled the half, blatant penalty not given but a great reaction from the lads to going behind, looking forward to the second half 😂

Relieved normal service was resumed by the break. Mane with a boss 1st goal and the 2nd was typical Bobby showing why he’s so important to us to set Mane up.

Salah and Ox struggling so far. Salah just isn’t in the game at all, he’d love a goal today I’m sure but I really can’t see it happening. Ox has been working hard but lots of heavy touches running with the ball or a heavy first touch, his delivery has been well off too.
