Did that penalty go to VAR and then get given? From my drunken eyes that was never a pen. Am I wrong?

Just a bad night in a very hard place to play, take it on the chin and move on! We are so much better than we showed tonight. After that,I just hope all supporters get home safe.

Disappointing end to a fairly good performance.

it wasn't great to be honest. First half sure, we looked decent but second half we were terrible. We kept losing the ball and our passing wasn't as good, especially our front 3 who played 6/10.

the penalty made us lose our confidence and we panicked after that.

Seriously, Napoli is a strong side and they had a few good chances too before the penalty. Hopefully we can beat them at Anfield though.

I'm at a bit of a loss as to what the point of VAR is?

Going on about 'clear and obvious' yet to me looking at that it's clear the player took a dive and therefore the ref got it wrong.

Meh it happens no big deal.

No VAR at all the ref just pointed to the spot,& yeah your right wasn’t a pen.

They're not going to do anything in this. We dont lose often, we have to take this on the chin and learn it

Unless it’s away games in Europe. We lost a lot of them last year and so far we laid another egg tonight.

Never went to VAR, never was a penalty. VAR is not all it is supposed to be!

So pissed off with that. Fab had s good game breaking up play but once again, no guile from the remaining midfielders. To predictable in there, and with the front three not quite connecting, we needed slightly better service in to them.
Adrian had s good game but defensively we lost it in the last 10 when I really expected Napoli to.
Ah well, not the knockout is it.
Get well rested up for the rent boys now. They played tonight as well do no advantage over us in that respect.

On the subject of VAR, just saw the penalty Dortmund missed. Ter stegen clearly off his line and clear encroachment.  Clueless

From what I can see, Robbo toe pocked the ball before that cheat player ran his legs onto Robbo. We must not stay like angels, bloody Robbo should have ran to the ref and shouted, yelled or whatever and don;t let him pee all over us and VAR is a joke.

tbh we might as well have fielded a weaker team to ensure proper rest for the starting 11. the team never got rolling and was actually quite poor

That was my thoughts going into the game anyway to be honest. Last season this fixture killed our following league game against City. I dont think away to Chelsea is an exciting prospect at this stage either.

Hard to actually do it though, Rodgers against Madrid springs to mind.

Poor, no threat from the front 2, don't think 2-0 was a fair result but didn't deserve to win the game either a draw should have been the outcome.

So the omens are good for us in Europe this season, lost to Napoli again, which means we’ll go on to win it..

We were complete sh*te there last year and lost 1-0 and tonight I don't think they were 2-0 better than us.

Not worried about us going through.  Don't think 15 points is beyond us.   Hope Salzburg turn these over twice.

Get a FKIN grip lad, wheres the disaster,we lost all last year away games, yet still won the Champions League. If you watched the game, the way we played was not the proper result. Same as away to Barca last season.

That's not the problem yet, we are at full strength and have a strong XI and bench. Perhaps when injuries kick in, but today we were out thought rather than out fought.

We were done late on by some pretty dark art stuff, stuff that was starting to happen regularly through the game.

Like I say, I dont want to see us smiling when we play them next. They should have made us pretty pissed off tonight.

Almost went for Adrian for morn due to his 3 great stops, but went for Fab for his all round terrific performance.
