Can imagine Jürgen will be furious with that, anything like that in the next four league games and we get beat badly.

      Massive win though.

F**k me the defence was bad. Compared to the first half of last season it has been extremely poor all season. I don’t know if it’s the high line but something needs to be revert.

In May against Barca. In January at home against Palace

Thank you, forgot about Barcelona away, and can’t even remember the Crystal Palace game

Phew! I genuinely thought we had fu**ed it up big style there. That there was still half an hour to play when they equalised...well I was fearing the worst at that point. So to settle back into it and score the 4th, as ever from the boot of Mo (that man has scored immensely important goals for us) was a fantastic response. And Jürgen's subs certainly helped. Milner - a man for all seasons.

Also, go back and rewatch the performances of Gomez and Trent for that final half hour-20 minutes. They were absolutely superb. As two of the youngest members of the squad you'd think their heads would be the most likely to scramble in such circumstances but they covered their tracks superbly in that last part of the match. It was fantastic seeing them rise to the challenge that was posed.

Crazy crazy game of football. That Mane opener feels a long long time ago!

Subs were always part of the minutes played. Some refs take the attitude if you make a late sub to use up time, they add it on. Not aware of any rule changes for subs but it certainly happens.
Anyway, irrelevant now. Three points is all that matters. Just need to have a bit more respect for the opppsition, even when you think you’re coasting.

Didn't see the 2nd half so can't comment on that, but I could see us go complacent as soon as our 3rd goal went in. We dropped our intensity and stopped pressing.

Second game in a row I'm annoyed with Fabinho.[Correction - was Kante's goal for Chelsea]. I said last season he could become the best DM in the world, and he can. He strokes the ball about so well and times his tackles beautifully. But for Chelsea's goal he just didn't do his job, and for their first tonight it was the same (albeit not quite so obvious). Just thought "nah the defenders can deal with this" and didn't close down the obvious danger. Don't know how he did in the 2nd half, but looks like he maybe needs a rocket from Jürgen not to ease off when he thinks we've done enough. Sounds like the same could be said of the team as a whole tonight right enough, but that's 2 games in a row Fab has caught the eye doing that.

Lost to Napoli away last year.  Done the same this year.

First home game in the CL we were 2-0 up let PSG back in to 2-2, and we needed a late winner.

      Predictable football club.

They are going to be difficult to beat away..

4-3... phew, too complacent at times..
We going to need 3 wins at home and minimal a draw away and that should take us to the next stage

Disrespected the game a tad there. But in the first 30 minutes Salzburg were so bad we only had to strole about...so it was actually their fault..!

When they picked up the baton at 3-0 we were almost comatose. May be Klopp should've got at them to keep us awake and interested. But it was to late..they started to believe they could get something out of the game..and they nearly did.

Henderson and Gini in midfield just aren't good enough. Hendo, and I love the guy,  tonight made several errors, and Gini doesn't bring anything to the table as far as I'm concerned. Fabinho also appears to be just a yard short of pace, consequently fouls a lot as attackers go past him.

I see what you're saying. They're sporting philosophy is good I'll give them that which gives them the edge over clubs hollowed out by the blood stained, oil soaked shovels like Man City and PSG. They give chances to many many youngsters who would otherwise have fallen by the wayside but Red Bull this, Red Bull that? Don't need that.

But the worst thing is probably the hijacking of local identity for corporate means. The beauty of club football is that clubs should all stem from the roots of thousands/millions of separate communities across the world and in turn reflect the best values of these communities.

The likes of Red Bull try to place 'community' in brand attachment. Which is quite sad.

Heavens above. They just had a bad game for goodness sake. Try to remember that at the end of the day, they were integral members of a side that are *checks notes*...European champions.
